  • looks nice

  • I tried this yesterday. But, I went about preparing it a bit different. I put my water, 1/3 cup of Craisins and chicken on the stove and brought it to a boil. I then stirred in my stuffing, removed the pot from the stove, covered it and let it sit for 5 mins. Dinner is served...and only one pot to clean. Good stuff after a day on a trail.

  • Awesome video bro, I never thought about adding the stuffing, thats a great idea. I'm going to go hit the trails up right now and try it. Cheers!

  • I will give this a try next time out. I never done this with store bought food. I have always used the freeze dry. I just started backpacking about a month or so ago.

  • were would i find the chicken bag,,,, dont know if i ever seen that

  • @coldbeer338 near tuna

  • Looks good I got to remember that one. I sometimes add stuff to Ramen noodles but that looks a whole lot better!

  • great idea!

  • I made this yesterday- 5 bucks.

box of mrs grass chicken noodle soup mix

small box of pre-cooked grilled chicken chunks

    1 half bunch of cilantro

    1 lemon half

Get the soup boiling as directed, add the box contents. After lowering the boil, add the chicken and let simmer for a few. at the very end, add chopped cilantro and a liberal squeeze of lemon.

It was so good I think I'll pack it every trip.

  • @LeonRFpoa sounds real good

  • @SuperKing613 really, this is what you do all day, is make negative comments on other peoples video, how sad.

  • I guess some immature kids like to mess with you but i highlt reccomened that you report him as well. kids these days needs help. and beast these days need to keep it up.

  • @SuperKing613 dude your a fucking retard, this sounds so good

if you think u could do a better job than him why don't you make some "pointless" video

some of us actually enjoy watching these

Great job beast12101, i luv your vids

  • @AmericaConserves98 It's just a troll, probably best to block/ignore... Nice video anyway!

  • @SuperKing613 I only use this when it's absolutely true. You, are a cunt.

  • @SuperKing613 You can't even use proper grammar and you're insulting the uploader of this video? I'll molest your cute little asshole in front a mirror so you can view the entire process. I'll force you to lick the rim of my freeze-dried foreskin, faggot(;

P.S. I love you, sweet cheeks.

  • @LeonRFpoa dude u made me hungry

  • definitely missing gravy. but that might be too powerful for the squishy bowl. thanks.

  • I always get stuck for dish ideas over the holiday period. I use cookingdinnerfortwo (.) com to liven up my range.

  • u can get chicken breast in a pouch....bumblebee brand online'

  • Looks good, Thanks!

  • Thanks for the video. I'm going to pack some up tonight...

  • wow i need sleep i cant spell

  • raisens made from cranerries that taste like orange?

  • Awesome! Great idea. People should really check out this option for creating meals. The freeze dried meals are okay, but expensive; the MREs are sorta okay, but heavy to carry. You get way more bang for your buck and fun for your palate if you get creative with supermarket items such as this! And oh buy--those Spam singles are the bomb!

  • @Urbanwild1 thanks, yes those spam packets are great, its what I used in the hawaii bannock

  • I like these types of videos...would love to see some more ideas.

  • Thanks for the info.

  • thanks for vid!!

  • that squishy bowl is amazing. is there a website for that, becuase my MEC store doesnt carry them.

  • crasens are good for everything. especialy in yogurt

  • Great cooking tips.

    Thanks.

  • Mountain House, Backpacker's Pantry, Provident Pantry; all meals in a bag. 1 or 2 servings per bag. All you do is add hot water. They all have a 5 year shelf life at room temp.

  • yup, and all around 6 to 7 bucks.

  • sounds like a good lunch

  • saw this and tried it ... its actually a great quick and easy meal for backpacking or a cheap quick meal for anytime!! thanks alot!!

  • i take the stuffing mix and put vinigar in it

  • Wow, that really does look pretty good :D I think I know what I'm getting my son for his snow campout coming up on the 19-20th. Thanks Beast!! His fellow Boy Scouts will be jealous, lol.

  • after watching this vid i made that for dinner. it was good stuff. im now dehydroating it to see if it rehydros well.

  • never thought about instant stuffing as trail food, thanks for the tip. 5*

  • Yeah, good combo. About $3 a serving from retail boxes. About $1.50 a serving from food storage.

High in sodium, but filling if enough chicken used.

  • I saw this also in Backpacker. I will be trying this soon.

  • Looks very good when it all comes together! I love that chicken, I use it all the time in my pack. I wish they also had other types of meat in those types of packs...As always, thanks for sharing, you work is greatly appreciated!

Where did you find the cup and bowl? I went to cabellas and they did not have the cool bowl and the coffee cups were between $29 and $39 so I got something else instead...

Box food is such a great idea, light weight and heck tuna helper might be really good too!

  • These are all great ideas.

I have been trying to think of such things as this. I know we cannot live on just pinto beans and rice forever. Thanks for the tips!!

  • looks like a great meal. Where can we get that squishy bowl? That thing is really cool.

  • @HawkLMT i know REI sells them. i believe at REI they come in a two pack. Two different sizes.

  • yup, although my local surplus had them also.

  • ★★★★★

  • great idea, thanks for sharing

  • Awesome. I just made a video yesterday a little similar but I used Instant Idahoan potato's that com in a small plastic bag. I keep getting messages from people saying "Its not enough calories" I'm like wtf....This is only one thing you would eat in a meal, not the meal itself. Good idea on this video. I think I am going to be switching out a lot of my food for dehydrated stuff.

  • Great video brother...Please subscribe to my channel. I have many videos coming up on Bushcraft, gear reviews and other interesting things

  • Very nice video...thanks for making and sharing.

  • yammy!!

  • You just gotta love packaged foods. I actually sent SPAM a thank you e-mail for their single serving packets....lol

  • I too love those, thats what I used in the bannock video.

  • @FatherJudgement2: Hormel also has a single serve pack of breakfast sausage...I found that at the 99 Cent store and bought a few. I am going to try and put together a video of cooking that with some eggs for a decent breakfast.
