  • haha. I don't even feel sad about it. he was so funny.

  • Thank you for all the bittersweet memories that would forever capture my heart and inspire me to live life even though circumstances struck us to be feeble and weak. I wept and cried with your stories and as I look back, I feel like I'm with you whenever I'm reading it. I love your story, and I love the way you face the challenges and trials. Thanks for sharing us a huge part of your life and for making us believe in limitless possibility of being happy and contented. You are one true person.

  • Man, he was such a gifted story-teller. His writing was something you rarely see these days.

  • his name and writings will always remind me of that very few beautiful memories of my secondary school years: the english classes - my english teacher was the one who gave me one of his books, teacher man. now i'm halfway through angela's ashes, and i really enjoy it - i learnt from his story that we can survive despite our bad conditions (big word for someone like me, groaning and moaning all the time about the smallest things)...

so, may he rest in peace.

  • I have to thank Frank for his very good writing,I love his books so much,May he rest in peace forever.God bless him.

  • Frank was a wonderful, witty , talented man, who said it like it was back then, I had the privledge of meeting him twice. He was a teacher when my cousin taught May he rest in peace! My parents were from Ireland also, and endured hard times. Check out the two documentaries,

The Mc Courts of Limerick and The Mc courts of New York. Frank was wonderful, Bless him Jeanne in Manhattan

  • r.i.p frank thankyou for portraying your life so vividly. what you and your family endured and others poor is shocking, sadly i can relate to your story. But, WE CANT GO BACK AND CHANGE THE BEGINNING - BUT WE CAN FORWARD AND CHANGE THE ENDING!

  • i love his books..

    a wonderful man

  • Aw this makes me so sad. I love his books. Aw. so many great people dying now. RIP Mr. Mc Court. You touched my life in so many ways. Thank you and RIP in God's hands now.

    fan from manila

  • A truly wonderful man. I have read all three books that Frank read, over and over again. They truly are masterpieces of literature written with wonderful style and with honesty. RIP Frank - thanks for the legacy you have given us.

  • Angela's Ashes is one of my all time favorite books. I've never read a book so heart wrenchingly sad and side splittingly funny at the same time. Frank was a master writer.

  • Bless you Frank, and may you rest forever in the Arms of the Angels...thank you for all you have given us. )0;

  • Angelas ashes is very good worth the read. Many locals were and some still dont like the book too gritty yet it left out the real shocking incidents in limeric at the time of clerical sex abuse and torture of children etc

  • I just started reading Angela's Ashes last week or so

  • What took you so long :) well its better ever than never. That is to me best book ever. Enjoy your readind.

  • God Bless Frank McCourt and keep him safe in your arms. He is an angel tonight.

I loved his books and thought the world was a better place because of Frank McCourt.
