I have a PSP phat.. the original. i don't understand why it won't start up the memory stick. it puts it into service mode, but the screen doesn't turn on from what i see and it doesn't read the memory card either... i don't understand why it won't do anything... and my OFW is 3.11 if that helps =\

yeps, as long as the memory stick in the slim is using a pandora or DC that doesn't make the PSP update Blind, then yeah, the easiest way to go is install DC7, then it works like a charm

its a memory stick that has extra information on it. it is made easiest using the total noob easy installer. if you need help look up pandora battery and magic memory stick in google and theres TONS of info and stuff... just look for it ;)

it doesnt matter which firmware you are on, the battery boots before the firmware, as for the memory stick, google around for a program that makes the files for you on your computer
