  • I took one cruise aboard the USS Enterprise in 1966-1967. I was in VAH-2 (heavy 2) performing maintenance to the weapons system on A3D aircraft.

  • My father was on the ship back in the sixties harbored in pearl harbor when bombs and fuel ignited and blew on the deck....my dad had just stepped out of the bathroom....after the explosion looked back and saw the toilet crushed by debris through the celling...his bunk mate had the top bunk slam down on him and killed him. I still cannot believe this is my hippie dad that witnessed this. what a fantastic ship thank god she is still afloat and in service. may her name live on.

  • My dad served on this ship. He was honorable discharged 2 months before the fire in 69. He enjoyed watching it and i also enjoyed watching it with him. it was cool to see him "taken back." I got lots of stories... :)

  • @camoflaugetampex just because she is a woman doesnt mean she is irrisponsible. I dont think it is fair of you to make critisisms based on gender. i know men who panic over nothing and do ignorant stuff too.

  • I'm sure there are plenty of them, but the name is still the same.

  • None. I was attached to the ship for ~ 3 years and never heard it come up ever. Far more aware of the heady history, legendary name in the number of outstanding ships bearing the same name. Gotta add that people always perk up and listen when the name Enterprise is mentioned.

  • So I have to watch a commercial every 4 minutes? Screw you youtube,

  • Wow, the internet is fantastic. I used to serve aboard this boat. Seeing her up close brings back great memories.

  • These dam commercials mess up these vds each and every time get rid of them.

  • A ferengi and a Bolian walk out of a bar...:)

Be safe Enterprise , come home safe !

  • my grandfather served on this ship during the Vietnam war

  • Watched the entire video awesome ship, and performance wow!

  • OMG FUCKING ADS!!!!!

  • She is not a Lt she is a captain, I donno how foolish the director is, just see her badges man.

  • @satish1235 If you're referring to the pilot, Meghan Angerman, she's wearing two silver bars - she's on O-3 Lieutenant.

  • @satish1235 Just remember, she is a Naval Aviator.

  • Never knew there was video of Lt. Hultgreen's crash. Pretty sad to see that....only 29 years old :(

  • I've seen the entire Carrier series! I'm watching it all over again!

  • @thatpecinalgirl

    i love it - i've watched it 3 or 4 times lol.

  • the narrator said each fa 18 super hornet cost 95 BILLION??? that's wrong.

  • LessPulp wants to cash in your extreme, funny, or crazy videos for you, just upload them to us for free!

  • I,am a plank owner and I drank the old mans booze then he was no longer allow to have booze on board in his cabin ,

  • that one dislike was hitler

  • Why did the USS Enterprise show a gay movie at lunchtime? Gay movies make you hungry with ketchup.

  • The flight boss guy seems super cool hahaha. Not a normal angry military guy

  • Ah. The U.S.S Enterprise from WWII.

  • the gy who got sucked up, did he die ?

  • @ygs2sup no

  • @ygs2sup The guy who was sucked into the intake of the A-6 Intruder luckily survived. Quick action of the deck personnel who saw him get sucked in and of the pilot who immediately cut his engines saved his life. That video is posted here on youtube also.

  • I proudly served on the Enterprise 78-81.

  • God bless the big E ! I did a west pac in 82-83 , She will always be the best ship to sail the seas. The Big E is actually faster than all the Nimitiz class carriers. They may name another carrier Enterprise but it will never come close to CVN 65 . The worst moment on Enterprise was running aground in San Francisco Bay after an 8 month deployment and knowing friends were so close but yet so far. Still I would not trade my time on Enterorise for anything .

  • My Step-Father was on The USS Enterprise in WW2 Does anybody know where I can get a crew list for this ship from WW2?

  • @Manongjojo INFO LIKE THat might be classified.

  • The US Enterprise has a spooky reputation in the US Navy.

She is valued to serve on, and there is a tendency to think,

"IF the shit hits the fan, I want on the Enterprise."

Everybody may get clobbered, but the Enterprise will do

    some definite clobbering.

  • My hubby was aboard the Enterprise, as a Nukie during her fisrt round the world cruise in 1964. In fact he was the first person in the world to bring the worlds first nuclear ship back to critical when she was refuled. In fact, we were guests aboar the Enterprise in 2004 when we celebrated Operation Sea (Orbit), 40 years. We may come back to Norfolk when she is decomishend

  • WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS SHIT! this is not life on a carrier. this is chowdale life bullshit. so much more to thesed ships. stores, galley's, berthing, and best of all --the communal head. there are cooks, yeomans, nukes. there is a fuckton more to a ship than this. And its miserable. all those smiles are faked. or its because they're off their rocker.

  • @evilcrusher you sir are retarded.

  • @evilcrusher

watch the documentary series CARRIER. its got the good and the bad. It's really good

    It's on PBS's youtube channel.

google the order of the shows, then look them up one after the other on youtube.

  • @Fetchdafish: There has been an Enterprise serving in the U.S. Navy since 1775. So probably not many.

  • Lets Go America!

  • The Next USS Enterprise should be one of the new post Nimitz Class of Aircraft Carriers that are planned for the 2000s..

The Old School Names that struck Fear and Respect across the Seven Seas should be put into commision. The Next Enterprise should be joined by her sisters, the USS Lexington, USS Yorktown,USS Hornet, USS Saratoga , USS Wasp, USS Intrepid and USS Constellation. Those names describe the thoughts and events of what the Founding Fathers of America were Fighting for .

  • my dad used to be a yellow jacket on that boat

  • PILF !!!!

  • lol my boy caraballo at deck edge

  • @tony183rd yo wen did dey filmed dis? da cruise b4 i got there? da navy still sucks

  • Comment removed

  • Don't take it out of service.

  • I wonder what the U.S. military has planned for the upcoming stealth fighter/bombers from countries like China? They are actually being developed! Google "China J-XX stealth".

A naval carrier is a fat juicy target that would be a gigantic blow if sunk or disabled. One $100M enemy stealth fighter bomber could inflict a huge wound or even sink a carrier ($1 billion?) with the right hit. With a tactical nuke, it might be able to take out the entire group in one shot.

  • @videoguy837 China's *speculated* aviation is 20 years behind america's declassifyed openly used aircraft. I can't imagine what we've made in the last 30 years. We probably won't know for a while.

  • @videoguy837 It's a Semi stealth Air Craft "NOT" a fully stealthed Air Craft like the F-22 the J-XX can still be tracked by Radar like the USAF said in the next gen AirCraft there will be two types Fully Stealthed Aircraft and Targets

  • V-2 HAHA I know SHOAF he was my boss in V-2..glad he made to to airboss good guy.

  • fuk uss enterprise uss nj ftw

  • Im currently stationed aboard the Enterprise and there are no star trek jokes being told...Ship has alot of excellent history.

  • Men this is my dream i really hope i can get accept and become a pilot in the enterprise am only 15 let me dream =(

  • But hopefully I can make it though.

  • By the way.

    VF-103 all the way!

  • I remember watching this show. Already knew about this excellent ship. Even in WW2. First nuclear aircraft carrier still doing damage!

USS Enterprise = one of the best aircraft carriers ever made in the history of naval history.

Joining Navy or USMC to become a Naval or Marine Aviator. Annapolis Naval academy first though.

Wished the F-14 never gone scrap. I know why it was decommissioned but it's still a great bad#%& fighter-interceptor.

  • I wonder how many Star Trek jokes are told on this ship each year.

  • @Fetchdafish Not many. I am stationed on there now.

  • @Fetchdafish I served three years aboard Enterprise and I honestly cannot remember hearing ANY Star Trek jokes. You have to remember that by the time NCC-1701 appeared on anybody's TV screen, CVAN-65 had already been refueled once, deployed overseas four times, including being the first nuclear powered ship to engage in combat, took part in the blockade of Cuba, and sailed around the world.

  • @leveretth

    This is true.

  • @leveretth FALSE... Trek jokes are commen place on the Enterprise and you do remember.

  • @BTGBatonRouge To the best of my recollection, I don't. Really. But, I suppose it's possible that YOUR recollection of MY experiences are more accurate even than my own. MFNP!

  • @Fetchdafish Probably lots haha, i wonder if the crew call their leader, Captain Kirk for the fun of it haha

  • @Fetchdafish 3 unless you count John aka Spock as a Star Trek joke.

  • @Fetchdafish I can tell you from experience way to many people joke about the Captain calling him Kirk or Picard all the time its funny tho

  • my dad was a chief on the Enterprise, he was on it during the fire...

  • Beam Me UP! (couldn't refuse!!! XD)

  • wow 29 comments and no one made a star trek reference

  • lol.....Im amazed...perhaps everyone isnt a PEON out there..;P

  • i got orders to the enterprise yesterday

  • the Navy plans to decom the big E around 2012 "sad"

  • my father was on The Big E in the 80's.

he sent me tomcat patches and pins. cool video.

  • Carbon fiber has no damage resistance. an explosion near the screws such as one caused by a armed aircraft hitting the water, of a torpedo hitting the "nixie" torpedo decoy would shatter the screws. leaving the ship immobile. you have to take combat stresses into account when designing warships.

  • 3:17 "loaded with enough firepower to destroy several city blocks" all i see are a couple of sidewinders....

  • I remember doing underway replenishments with the Enterprise, This was at night and the Enterprise took up my entire field of vision, very impressive to behold and an honor to serve.

  • I'm not trying to be pesty but, this is a REALLY cool video. I thought I'd seen just about all of them on the USN. Thanks for the post!!

  • Dang it all. Video just said she's 1200 feet long. I thought she was just under 1100 feet long. Oh well, just a bubblehead who always wanted to be on one.

  • I tend to concur. First nuclear powered aircraft carrier. When I was on an attack submarine, they tied us up across the pier from her and that thing was HUGE. And, it's still smaller than the new Nimitz class carriers. For some reason, I CANNOT remember the name of that NAS pier we tied up at. It was across the bay from San Francisco.

  • @aviationwingnut NAS ALAMEDA????

  • @MSTLOM That's what they were calling it back then, as I recall. We sailed in under the Golden Gate Bridge and they parked us right across the pier from the Big E. This was in 1987.

  • @aviationwingnut You must have sailed past Alcatraz on your right then turned south and gone under the Oakland Bridge and then 45 degrees to the left and straight into Port from there. Via GOOGLE EARTH, that's the only Pier I can see capable of handling the bit Carriers.

  • U.S.S Enterprise is the best ship ever.

  • Good show. Stupid YouTube player tho... it loads all the way, but the actual playback is all stop and go. And the advertisements suck, I don't mind them, but they can at-least popup during a down time in the actual video, and make a break in a proper spot in the show.

  • That disaster that nearly destroyed the Enterprise reminds me a lot of the USS Forrestal disaster.

  • why?

  • I could spend days trying to explain this to civilians but, you seem geniunely interested so I will give it my best shot.

Females are weaker than males physically just ask any female in the military if the Physical Fitness Test is easier than the males. It is. Females can be very dangerous from the point of view that if they accuse you of something you did not do or didn't mean to do you are finished. Females just add extra pressure in a combat zone when you are thinking about surviving.

  • females do get it easier in military pt tests,

  • Why do they show much of that stupid female? because the parts of the military and society that are still not comfortable

with females in combat positions are trying to be convinced by the media that it works just as well and is not an issue, but if it isn't an issue and they are like everyone else then why is it that whenever there is a carrier/fighterpilot special like this the media goes out of the way to find that one female out of 150-200pilots...hmmm...a coincidince??

  • the stupid female???

she is the one flying the aircraft and you are the one flying your keyboard

so who is the stupid one??? you are! Not her.

  • I don't care who they are as long as they do their job.

  • @chonchoz I wonder how women get to fly jets when they have a hard enough time driving cars.

  • @chonchoz Hello Mr. White Knight. I would like to inform you that no matter how hard you try, you will not gain a sexual encounter over the internet by 'protecting a female'.

  • @ShadowCrashed81 no but he does gain a mark for being a fucking gentlemen. and showing respect to someone who has earned it.

  • @Dogmeat1950 Females don't "gain" respect they are givin respect due to affirmitive action and feminism.

  • @ShadowCrashed81 they have earned it. dumb shit. I know some Female USCG pilots that have a hell of a lot more brains and and courage then you.

    nobody "gains" respect it's earned.

  • @Dogmeat1950 I don't respect any female in any uniform. Its given to them, they don't earn it. They have lower standards. They'll never be as good as their male counterparts.

  • @ShadowCrashed81 Bullshit lol, I know a Rescue swimmer that's tough as nails and she is amazing at her job. she'll jump into storms just to save people not a lot of men do that kind of shit same respect for the men Rescue swimmers too.

stick to video games kid. it's all you'll be good at when it comes to what people do in the military,

  • @Dogmeat1950 I can guarantee there is a man who can do it better than her.

  • @ShadowCrashed81 sure there might be, but the fact is she beat out and lasted longer then the other men who didn't make it through Rescue swimmer school :) and that's what counts.

  • @Dogmeat1950 Because she had lower standards.

  • @ShadowCrashed81 hahahaha um no.the class started with 50 people,3 of them women. it ended with only 12 people passing 11 men, 1 women.. she was the only women to pass.

  • @Dogmeat1950 Because of what? Lower standards. What program was this, I'd like to know.

  • @ShadowCrashed81 it's Coast Guard Rescue Swimmer school and there are only 300 USCG rescue swimmers.it is the hardest school in the USCG. there is no lowering of standards in that school dumb fuck. never has been never will.

  • it was choppy for me, i changed the hd setting to normal!

  • bore

  • no problems here good show.

  • Well there's your problem. DSL sucks

  • Good show!

  • I'm having no problems and I have DSL as well. Might want to get a faster speed or check if your anti virus is doing a scan.

  • I think you just need a better connection, or disable HD.
