Try using defence switch to melee attack them with it then use fire bolt finnaly arrow barrage and if they get close repeat unless theyre using smash use counter then shoot arrow its works for me and i have rank D archery Elf btw it works sometimes with human

@r4baloons Shortbow is a fast attack weapon. The faster the attack, the less stun it causes. Try a slower bow?

@Mibeniar werewolves have lvl1 Natural Shield,which instead of blocking the arrows fully so they can continue running towards you,it just makes them harder to knock-back with ranged attacks.

you have to be rank1 archery to shot this fast (if u dont ull mostly miss your shots)

while using bow dont spam clicks, shot once and right when ure supposed to shot the 2nd shot click again it will be much faster.

@dialgatrack Not neccessarily. Its not the rank that determines how fast you shoot, just determines loading time. No lag is what you're looking for if you wanna shoot this fast, as said in the beginning of the video.

@StillNotFresh thats true u need no lag. but, the lag is just a portion of ure speed. your loading time will pause a bit before it hits 99% ( about a sec ). when i was around rank A archery id shot at 70-80% to keep my enemy away. ure click timing counts too. if u dont have high loading time u wont have enough time to shto 2nd shot before the enmy hits u.

It's kinda impossible to list every possible archery tactic here however, as with the possibility of missing you will always have to adjust your style moment-to-moment when fighting higher level mobs.

He also disabled the Nagle Algorithm which decreases lag. It really helps.

Higher rank more loading speed, if you are closer you load faster (it's called Zero Shot).

But yeah, Lag is a key to pwning in Mabinogi.

Actually, no. Zero latency can make it seem to load faster as you won't lag, and being an elf will make you load faster. Higher ranked range increases aiming speed and damage, but nothing else.

definately not;rank ranged attack to 1 as soon as possible......or as high as you can(now in mabinogi you can reborn for free as soon as you get age 20,so reborn to age 17) that way you can get rlly fast aim speed(faster aim for normal shots,magnum,and every other kind of bow/crossbow attack)

On the second tactic (magnum and arrow barrage for a bounce), what if our arrow doesn't shoot that fast? I tried using magnum, followed by a regular arrow but it takes longer for me to load it + shoot (than the way it was done in the video). Is it because of the Ranged Attack rank?

if u do zero shot with elf, trust me, is pure ownage, u are like invincible, but if u miss you are done so is risky but worth giving a try

I'm just curious Reyzur, I haven't tried the weapon switch thing with my elf, but I do carry a shield and sword for such occassions.. but my question is, why don't you switch to your shield before defending? Is it because of the time lost between the switch?

I didn't because I never thought about it back then. But yea, you're idea of using the shield to defend is feasible. Also, with your Elf, since the load of range is faster, you'll be able to go straight from Defense to Ranged attack. There's another video that was made for Elf Archery, I'll send you the link.

Thank you. And great vid. I use the Range>Counter>Fire trick all the time. Works like a charm. Only thing that's annoying with elves is the bug that makes them lock up occasionally, but we can't really doing anything about that.

When the percentage comes up, you can just click the monster and your character will fire (the lower the percentage, the higher chance of your shot missing).

if i use windmill, i usualy defence after it and hit it back -> firebolt -> start shooting again

cuz if you miss the shot after windmill , unless the monster is using a skill like defence or counter, i don't think there's much time for anything else exept maybe one last shot at zero distance.

There's a small delay between finishing windmill and being able to start aiming, even if the ranged attack is already loaded.

That's pretty much all the archer skills you'll need. If you lag a lot, you may want to get Arrow Revolver, but even that will be hard to get if you're a new player. So for now, just focus on getting used to the combat system and learn to do some melee/magic. Since there are some monsters that have Arrow Passive Defense, you'll need to adapt your fighting style.

No matter what, our aim meter will always cap off at 99%. You best choice is reach that cap sooner. Raise your Ranged Attack skill or use Fine Handmade Arrows. It can help you miss less often, but it's not possible to never miss. At least with faster aiming speed, you can let off more arrows than lower ranked archers.

but i think that when i shot at the enemy stunned at 95% it would reach to 99% before it shot(manual), and i think it also has to do something with the critical's i've been getting but thanks for ur advice, i think i should try fine arrows then =). some monsters such as town rats and snakes, i keep missing then after i shoot the first shot =o. but others such as rat men and skeles and imps and ogres, i hardly miss at all. wonder y.

It's either lag, (maybe Nagle lag) or you are using a short bow. Short bow's have low stun time.

I use a composite bow. I like it cuz it's pretty average(average aiming speed, average range), has the highest crit rate, and because in my opinion it looks the coolest.

So, does that mean even when I seem to not be lagging I actually am lagging? I tried the Nagle fix, and I'm not on the administrative account on the computer, so I don't think I can make changes. When I try it says "Error writing to the registry."

I use a Leather Long Bow. The taller character in the beginning and the other one in White Clothing have rank D Ranged Attack. My current character, which is the little kid has rank 9 Ranged Attack, 6 WM and F Magnum.
