It really is. I dive around the Portland, Vic area and some of the dives have been amazing. So much so that half the time i forget about the fish :P

mowongs are awsome fish, i go around perth and get heaps of them, great fish to spear and eat, a tip...swim down and shoot them from the side, they dont get spooked as much.

In certain areas it is, and 400m from the island it is.

Also taking blue groper is banned from the island too

When we spear locally and close 2 shores we dont use floats and usually end up 500m 2 a k from boat. The chain is my home made fish stringer and by shaking the chain I can attract the fish as well.
