also, for the boss, use my oil jump method to kill him. stand underneath a platform and attack whens hes up. its really easy

the boss on this level was always a pain in the ass because his tactics would change everytime, i wouldnt know weather to jump or duck. then after a few tries i thought of something. have sonic under the platform where robotnick cant attack and have tails do all the work. only problem is if tails dies (he can drown in oil) he'll be continuosly flying until the 2nd player takes controll so you'll be exposed for a bit.

actually i have found that the continues are usefull if you had difficulty with a zone and entered the next and saved with less then 3 lives, it lets you have 3 again, unless this one gives 3 like number 3 instead of 1 and 4s amount you had when you entered upon saving lol

I always loved this level. Everything about it, from the music, to the color scheme. And it really isn't a very hard level compared to the ones before and after it (Though Metropolis Zone always was my favorite zone). And I've always wondered, how the hell do you get that extra life that you passed by while in those barrel things? Even when I played this game like ten years ago, I always wondered that. >_>

Sonic should have a parody or something about him finally using those rings for something. He needs them to stay alive in the game, and all you really need is one. In the anime they're used for power, though nobody knows where th they came from, but ehh, I have no clue why rings are kind of like coins in Sonic's world.

there are some files of roms that can cause serious glitches so be careful cause they can harm ur computer badly.

actually another way to (easily?) get through oil ocean is the glitch, to do this u fall into the oil and start jumping forward till u reach something blocking ur path, then u spin dash until u are all most completely in the oil, then u quicky let go and jump as fast as u can. If u are sucsessful, then u have passed the wall, etc. Finnaly continue doing so until u reached the end.
