  • Keith Moon je blááááááááááááázen skvělej blááááááááááázen

  • wow o wow. I saw the rock opera TOMMY when I was 16, only 40 years ago. It still blows my mind today.

  • I think Pete shows what I consider a perfect balance between flashy egoistic guitar playing and beautiful musical showmanship <3 a perfect lead guitarist right there

  • Man I got more hair under my pits than Rog and I'm a chick!

  • Nope, won't!

  • the best volcals in the world

  • i didn't know Ringo Starr played bass in The Who...

  • @cxyourus Lulz, I think the same thing every time I watch this.

  • the thing I LOVED about the Who is how they came at you like a 50 piece orchestra: that SOUND! and it was basic rock 'n' roll set up: bass, drums, guitar, & vocal- yet it was so fucking HUGE!!! :)

  • 7:36 My inspiration! :)

  • krejzy bojs

  • 7:45 that was fucking badass!!

  • fuck yeah

  • Petes got so many people fooled.....Theres almost NO guitar in this song, and he acts like hes playing all the time...and turning up the amps..NOT....if he really did, why have a sound man ? lol....And anything pete really plays he has to look at his hands.....

  • @JCDennis62 are you fucking serious?

  • @JCDennis62 Apparently Pete didn't rely on monitors, maybe because of his hearing problems. He used to turn up the volume of his amps everytime, especially when doing leads. Reasons i like to see this performance: Pete's minimal but energetic guitar approach, Moon's out of shape but charismatic last performance, John's bass shredding and Roger's out of this world singing. A real Rock Band, an almost extinct specie nowadays...

  • Awesome! :)

  • *****+*****

  • Pete Townsend is a man who breaks guitars.

  • The light show from 6:40 to 7:50 is great

  • this is a big truck of energy on stage... i think pete was happy because his guitar was in tune in that song

  • killer bass line!

  • Comment removed

  • Great, performance the energy is way over the top! Who is doing this type of performance now?

  • supreme~

  • CRAZY AWESOME!!! :D

  • The F***ING Who - !! You know I always said, I hear a lot about Led Zeppelin in the 70's and all that jive. Let me tell ya, The Who were far superior as a live act. IMO they were a better band over all as well. Everyone loves to jump on the Zeppelin band wagon. The Stones were definitely better than LZ over all (the Stones had much more to offer, and had it all, through all the eras) and The Who were as well. LZ was certainly a great band and all... but I hate it bc people pass over The Who.

  • I love how when i press the "video statistics" button its shows that this video has no honors. Quite Ironic considering this is the greatest music video of all time

  • 23 August 1946 Keith Moon fell to Earth

John: Whatevs, guys. I'm just gonna stand here and play the bass as usual ok?

  • @DiddyTheDuck2 always the same with them

  • @DiddyTheDuck2 You gotta love John!

  • What Master Entwistle does to his bass is something incredible!

  • Powersildeeeeeeeeeeeee

  • First version of this video ive found without the audio being dubbed, cheers for posting :)

  • Roger's shirt is simply epic. Where can I buy it?

  • I personally prefer this version to the original studio recording, partly by this epic performance, partly by the better guitar and singing parts and partly because I can't stop watching this over and over again.

    Sorry for my bad english.

  • @Osch78 Well said. I must agree.

  • @Osch78 Plus, it's Keith's last performance with them...

  • @Osch78

I believe there is sometimes an overdub on the guitar...but its great anyway!

  • @Lloydskasisal yeah, the acoustic that starts with the light show, like the original studio track.

  • @Osch78 Your "English" is perfect.
