I was at the show the next day! Bret is a good friend of my uncle, who lives and owns a bar in New Zealand where the Conchords used to play waaaaaay back in the day. So my uncle got me and a friend backstage.

I'm on the steering committee at The Vera Project, and they sent out an e-mail to members of Vera and the first few to reply back got in :) Videos weren't allowed and they were really strict about it, so this one is actually lucky. They played only like 6 songs total and we had a Q&A session
They're probably working on the third season, I don't see why they wouldn't. They're really the buzz right now you know? And I asked them 1) If you were to devote an entire different life to something other than your comedy act/music, what would it be? and Jemaine said he wanted to be an inventor but he had nothing to invent, Bret said a doctor. 2) If you were on the death row, what would your last meal be? Jemaine said something simple, Bret said something elaborate so he could live longer haha
I can only quote Mel, "That sucks! It's bullsh*t!" Can't they see that FOTC is a hen with golden eggs? Not to mention that they are FUNNY. Well, I can only hope that they'll continue doing the show keeping their sense of humour, not the tv producers.

They got cancelled because HBO didn't understand the humour. But I think that NBC or Comedy Central is going to pick up the show.
Damn HBO.

Nah. They took a break because they wanted to. HBO would kill to have them back. An exec even said he was hoping for it.
