WW1-Germany rarely ever had deal with Serbia. Austria-Hungary kicked your ass.
WW2-The nazis ripped the shit out of Yugoslavia. Not to mention Croatia joining them. In Serbia, wherever you went you saw nazi patrols and Serbs being hung or shot.
