  • why are white people so obsessed with Indians??

  • Just saw this on NetFlix great, this was eye opening for me, very much humanize Aboriginal north Americans. thanks

  • lol we couldn't find one.did you try a reservation??

  • whos the guy at 0:45 because he sounds hilarious

  • @kyotetwokyote Charlie Hill.

  • LOVE THIS

  • This is a great doc, just saw this having DVR'd it a few weeks ago. It's very good at covering the evoluion of depictions of Native Americans over 100 years of cinema, up to the modern era where they are finally having real opportunities to express themselves through independent film and the democratization of filmaking technologies. And on top of it I have a bunch of new movies I need to check out now :-)

  • An excellent documentary film. It's definitely deserving of a lot more critical acclaim and viewership than it has received thus far.

  • Just saw this today it makes me realize even more how african and native americans have in common we both had to fight to be treated as humans

  • I live in Brazil and I'd like to watch this. What should I do?

Just clear a doubt, please: is it a documentary about Native-Americans' stereotypes in Hollywood? If it is, I'd love to watch it.

    Sorry for my English.

  • "White people playing Native roles? I LOVE it, because it's funny."

XD So I'm not the only Native who laughs her head off when I see these White guys "speaking....like...this...wampum" and scream war-cries that REAL Natives have never used? *rolls eyes* Come one guys, we're people too. All this stereotypical crap portrayed in movies didn't come from us. All they do is look stupid, and it's hilarious. ;)

  • Boris Karloff played an Indian? LMAO

I would so love to see more actual Native actors in films and not just as secondary 2 dimensional characters either!

  • Saw this documentary on Australian TV last night- Amazing!

  • "obviously you're a snake crawling in your own shit" lmao

  • lmfao i watched this in my Native History class, i loved it!!!!!!! i am a reel injun ;p

  • You looking for a real Indian ?I am a full-blooded Cree woman!! I 'll even come with a better deal, I'm treaty and it is damn hard to get a decent, honest work at my band office. Send me a smoke signal . P.S We love you Clint Eastwood. sandra.head@hotmail.ca

  • too bad it's not going to be a straight up feature comedy about making a film (ala Tropic Thunder) instead of a documentary (since sadly not enough people go see documentaries). based on the sketch clips, how awesome would that be?

  • The sad thing is, this is still happening in Hollywood today, you'd think their would be a little more sensativity. Ex. Taylor Lautner in Twilight, not a drop of Indian blood

  • @pazuzu126 that really pissed me off when I heard they didn't even bother to get an actual Indian. they'd rather pay for spray tanning apparently

  • we're all gonna miss Graham.

  • I love Graham Greene's comments. I agree with Chris Eyre...funny. Great movie...long time coming!

  • great movie, spread the word.

  • Just watched this on CBC, great documentary that made me laugh and smile a lot. Cree from Northern Manitoba.

  • I am the wolverine!

  • @kurinbo LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @lunchboxgarcia I don't know, they seem to lump DDL in Last of the Mohicans in the same category with all those white guys who were actually supposed to be playing Native characters. Which is too bad, because inaccurate information like that just detracts from the discussion that could be had about actual problems in Last of the Mohicans...the movie certainly has its issues, but casting isn't one of them. But yeah, that's just a minor criticism, can't wait to see the documentary!

  • @JanaQuelle i agree with ya.. like u said they lump DDL.. he was white from the start in that movie adopted by the natives

  • The Last Airbender should be added to the list.

  • I am a native american in Canada, where there is a lot of native american's. I can't wait to see this, I think it will be funny. Especially Graham Green, that guy is hilarious! :D

  • cool movie, saw it on 000 Free Movies . com

  • Excellent! Can't wait to see it!

  • I got to see this movie because my English teacher had an advanced copy on DVD, and it was really good! Seriously, if it's playing anywhere near you, don't miss it!

  • Going to see this film tomorrow and can't freaking WAIT!! And I agree with many comments...about time!

  • NATIVE AMERICANS ... gotta love the U.S.A.

  • If you think this is good, look up Ghost Racers.

  • Did anyone else hear the porn music??

  • @smnfaw3 Funk =/= porn.

  • Thanks! I live in Italy and I'm against the stereotypes on the Native American People..Thanks, thanks thanks!!!

  • Daniel Day Lewis played an adopted son he wasnt supposed to be native..

  • I think the point being that most movies portraying Native American's are centered around a white protagonist.

  • @korky94 that's right. Daniel Day Lewis character Natty Bumppo/Hawkeye was white who grew up with Native Americans. Chingachgook in the book was more of a brother rather than a father to Hawkeye versus in the movie it was a father/son relationship.

  • Awesome!!! For real!!!

  • fuck yes man, at last.

  • YaY !!!

  • WHOOOH!!! YEAH! FINAAALLLLLY... EFFIN' AYE!

    I'm excited.
