  • I love to hear him sing! This is my favorite song by him1 Thanks for posting!

  • I like this version the best- Ed Ames- what a great singer- check out his tonight show moment with the tomahawk

  • jeff goldblum's father?

  • is it just me or is he really really sweaty?...

  • @mariobros1234567ify Probably. In those days they used a lot of makeup and the Kleig lights are VERY hot.

  • THE ONLY ONE to sing this in my humble opinion. I wish he would have included the second verse though. Still Magic !!

  • Beautiful, gorgeous, wonderful...Ed Ames and this great song. Thank you very much my dear pizzaguy2002.

  • Ed Ames has such a great voice -- so beautiful!

  • Beautiful song! It makes me think of times gone by- kinda sad!

  • PG, Is there any more of the 'interview'? Next to hearing him sing, I love hearing him talk. I watched this show even tho it was aimed at folks much older, and I was in my twenties. Today's talk and variety shows are so full of attention-hungry and vain people! Hugh Downs had such a low-key show (Mr. Rogers for seniors). This is one show I missed. THanks for posting it.

  • Thanks, hard to believe this show is 30 years old.

  • @momwithoozy They've got to do an Archive Interview of Ed Ames very soon. Then we can hear him talk for minutes on end. <3

  • Thanks for a wonderful clip!

  • This is wonderful. When I found it I couldn't wait to watch it. Ed Ames is so talented in whatever he undertakes, singing and acting. And he still is, I just saw him at the NY Alumni show in California. He looks and sounds fabulous. Thank you for posting this. Susie C.

  • I'm glad others are getting enjoyment out of it.

I've been a fan of Ed Ames and Fess Parker since first watching the "Daniel Boone" show when it aired on WGN 9 Chicago in 1979-1981. I'd love to find some tapes with Boone episodes from those original WGN broadcasts.

  • The 60's Daniel Boone Show was released last year on dvd in seasonal versions... each season together in a dvd package and sold separately. They were hard to find but you may try looking on ebay. Best wishes to you...

  • @pizzaguy2002 i grew up watching that show, & had a crush on daniel, mingo, AND israel!! {i was younger than israel at that time.} i'd love to see it again!!

  • Thanks so much for taking the time to digitize the video and make it available to one and all. It is much appreciated!

  • Old tapes of Ed are rarely seen.

Thanks very much for sharing this.
