  • I lve how he adds sound effects to his own techniques xD

    "Itch, ni, san, POW..." :P

    His kicks are amazing!

  • How the hell is this "unrealistic"? Getting a kick like that in the skull basement is instant knockdown. If you rethink that karate was often practised in killing bulls with one hit, getting kick like that is like getting hit with baseball bat in skull basement.

You can love it or you can hate it - but you can't deny the efficiency of this kick and his "owner".

  • wow, a kick than can be delived from a 'blind spot' your opponent probably won't see it coming

  • I trained with Sensie in the early 90's, awsome Technique power and precision! Oss

  • wow. ossu.

  • Most of comments are simply ridiculous.

Not effective on the street and gnagnangna!!

Change disk! Kagawa sensei is fabulous!

I hope I will be able to do that at this age.

  • @goraisan Hear hear!

  • @goraisan

I agree, Kagawa sensei has amazing kicking skills, I think he is one of the last people on earth I would get into a street fight with.

  • @goraisan Oss !

  • Excellent...

  • i hate dumb fucks like yourself. is it not evident that this is a drill? is it not common knowledge that the high one can kick with speed and power, the more powerful his low kicks will be? and how dare you talk about Master Kagawa that way?

  • agreed, its apparently a drill. but i dont understand why people use these "jab" kicks, rather than kicks with maximum possible power. because that is the only way of betting even against the biggest problem of all kicks, severe imbalance, while also preserving more balance with the high momentum.

  • Well its more of a "snap" versus a "jab". we practice this to develop recoil. Which takes speed, which equals power. Every Karate kick has 4 parts. Fold-Extend-Recoil-Root. If any kick lacks even one of those principles its not a good kick, again in the Japanese realm. No realistically a Karate master won't attempt a kick to the head. if your lucky it will make it above the midsection. Our kicks will be to the groin, knees or a sweep. but you must practice kicking high to improve facility.

  • Ok thats a very good point. A kick to the groin should be as swift as possible, even if giving up some power, but here i must also disagree that speed does not equal power. It is only one factor, and does not only by itself mean power in any form. And power applies to almost all the other bodyparts.

  • @NeuralKontamination A kick that is a drill is useless. Like any "drills" coming from guys with heavy weights. You become what you practice - your body adapts to what you practice.

You practice weight-lift - your body will adapt to weight lift, but no more.

The best fighters do not train, they literally live in the conditions they set upon themselve.

What kick should be depends on relativity of situation, performer, target, suggested result and bit of luck.

  • He is a great technician....

  • I saw this training technique in his video. awesome

  • who placé assez mechament ca doit faire tres mal lol
