this is the unoffical version and all I have heard is major trouble with this version slowing down system and crashing!!!! going to install mine today but a hint make sure your blackberry is backed up on the desktop manager just in case!!

is this a 3rd party app?.....there r no CDMA 4.5 os updates for the 8830 at this time ...anywhere...the phone has been discontinued and will be replaced with a CDMA version of the Bold ...is there anything that we should be aware of before installing? ie: deleting the "vendor" xml file?

No this is not a 3rd party app. Yes there are 4.5os updates for the 8830. obviously you dont know what it is you are talking about because you can see that there is. I have a sprint 8830 and i did not have to delet the vendor.xml. but i would just to be safe hope this helps
