funny all the complaints come from ordinary people, and not from a soprano her self. it takes a lot of work to sing any aria. its hard work and she is so good with her grand voice. long live INVA MULA AND HER GREATNESS
Uh... where's the mirror? o_0 She's singing to the audience. Nope, doesn't have my vote. And I agree with reddoorpaintedblack about her pawing through the jewelry like a crazed lady hobo. :-P
God, she's awful! The way she paws through the jewlery box reminds me of a homless lady pawing through trash. And her voice is far too harsh, it would be much better if she played it softer and sweeter and more innocent as the character was intended.
I usually really like Inva's voice, but here, there is not enough legato for me. It all sounds slightly "clipped" and it detracts from the emotional intensity of this aria. 3/4
As far as I know, she is Albanian both by her ethnic origin and citizenship, but it is true that she performes often in Croatia and can sing in Croatian too. She also performes in Italian, and few other languages. However, officialy she is an Albanian opera singer,if that is of any significance anyway.
I'm croatian, and as much as I'd like her to be the pride of my country, she isn't... but she does sing often at our summer festivals, such as The Dubrovnik Summer Games
She just doesnt use her voice well. It sucks because i expected so much more beauty of tone from her after hearing that wonderful Lucia opening and coloratura in the 5th element.
Mostly well done, not my favorite soprano voice, but I like her verve (she is in the moment) and builds the entire aria very well, up to a big finish. But alas, no trill. 3.5/4
@coloraturafan thank a lot great video I love coloratura! ;)

...ahhhhhhhhhhhhh ! critics (!?!?!)
I'd like to see anyone of them take that stage - just to see them regress to the farting lethargic ganglias that they are...

bad interpretation of the literal meaning of the libretto...and yes...she's too harsh on the song...i think Dame Kiri did pretty well

This comment has received too many negative votes show
She is curently among the most popular Croatian opera singer, although there are many other promesing talents in Croatia too.

Are u stupid?
She has nothing to do with Croatia. Born and grown up in Tirana, capital of Albania.

I agree.

The physical characterization is very good and the passion is there, however the tone is rather strident. The technique otherwise is not bad.

3/4. Decent, but she's definitely not my favorite.

beautifull voice, nice interpretation, but it seems 'too much' maybe.
the interpretation maykes me think of Dessay - when Dessay is bad that's to say.

Lackluster to say the least. Mula is a good artist and has a lovely voice, but she uses very little variety here. 4/4
