321Crubio123, it started in Mexico, but because 8 students from Queens, NY made a trip to Mexico they caught the Flu bringing it back to the U.S. and so it spreaded in U.S, and since it's pandemic it's eventually going to be spreading throughout every Continent

I am fed up with all this pandemic panicky hype it is ridiculous, about 100 people have died of swine flu as far as I know and all in mexico, those outside mexico who have got it have recovered, Time and Time again we get told that X is going to cause a pandemic, SARS, MRSA, Bird Flu... for goodness sake the whole world went into a worldwide panic attack when bird flu started and a few years later only about 250 people have died and all people who have direct contact with birds.

Sometimes I think people like to do the whole, OMG we are all going to DIE!!! Seriously you are more likely to die of a non pandemic disease, you are probably more likely to be hit by a meteor or kicked to death by a donkey than even get swine flu, yes people might die of swine flu, people die everyday, there are about 6.77 bilion people in the world, we are severely over populated, think how unlike it is out of all those people you will get a pandemic...

It is not serious, don't worry about it, it is ridiculously unlike you or anyone you know of will die of swine flu, obviously the goverments and medical proffesions need to take precautions, but it is not the terrible apocolyptic pandemic people seem to be taking it for and I really doubt it will be, so stop acting as if it is, beside panicking wont help, and I am sure is a few years time they'll be some other virus we can all act like headless chickens over. Ok done.

Okay so significant spread of the disease kicks off on day 43ish and it looks like its pretty much done by day 143ish.
I suppose the question that arises from this is could you lock yourself away and be selfsufficient for those 100 days?
BTW, I agree with Zonedout95. This could have the potential to be something v nasty, but equally, it probably won't kill us all like the media say it will.
Oh, and the Midwest appears to be the place to be if you're in the US.
