that thing didn't really solve the cube. All steps were pre programed. You have to put the cube with the right colors and position.

I'm a PLC and computer programmer, i know.

This video is NOT backwards. Think about it. Look at the arm that bash at cube to tilt it then the lift thing hits it to make it fall and go in flat. If you think this is reversed, imagine the normal forward video. When it is "forward" how did cube lift itself before being attached by lift thing? Thats impossible. This video isnt being modified in any way.

HOW IT IS DONE...

It started off with all sides matching, then the computer mixed it up... and then it just did all the moves backwards till it was complete, he just didn't show the first part of the video.

It isn't actually able to analyze and solve.

@enderbushy Wow really are you sure? Im almost positive it used an a simple math problem to solve it. first it rotated the cube analysing the sides then it put them into the program on the computer. then it begins to solve the cube..... Think before you try to rain on this cool project.

@enderbushy If it is fake, he did a pretty cool job at faking it. Have you ever heard a reversed sound clip? He'd have to replace all the sounds of the robot moving, and they sound spot on.

@Zxaber I wasn't thinking he played the video backwards. But it is possible that he had the robot mix it up, then reverse all of its moves till it was back to its original state. Even if that is the case, it is still a cool little project. I wish i had the components to do it.

I think the computer does the calculations. You see that flat cube on the screen? I think the camera sends data to the computer, which uses one of those Rubic's Cube formulas and instructs the robot to flip the cube or turn one of it's faces.

If you look at the computer screen at the beginning, you can see the robot checking all sides to see what colors they are. If that works, the rest is merely mechanical in nature (using the algorythem).. pretty cool.
