I dont with to engage in a debate with you, but the answer to your proclamation is simple for us shias. The reason why we ask Rasullulah (saw) and his Holy progeny for our duas is simply because of the connection with Allah (swt) they have. When you are in the court system, you dont go straight to the supreme court, you go through lower courts first. The same is for our Ma'soomeen. They have a higher connection w/ Allah, therefore through them (not TO them), we ask our duas.

Taking the Imams as saints or something divine is a big Shirk. Beating oneself during ASHOORA and making PICTURES OF ALI or any other person as a symblo of worship is BIDAH. Prophet Muhammed said, "whoever brings BIDAH to ISLAM, is not from my ummah"

Shia Marja's say that pictures of our Prophet or Imams is either strictly har'aam or highly Makrooh (unrecommended).

Please do not take the acts of some Muslims and classify that as being what the religion is. That is a huge mistake our entire Ummah and every other Mamlikat is making today.

The man's aura was unbelievable. So calm, so at peace, so calculating, charismatic, honest, intuitive, simple, humble, yet strong, fierce and collected. He spoke and the whole world shook.
