0:42 was avoidable if he doesn't hit the brakes and let it fall under its own weight. That was a rookie mistake that I hope he had learned for his next course. Very nice video.

looked to me like he was holding the clutch in and let it out to give it some gas to save it but he didn't give it any gas before letting it out..
