Carpenter wanted it so NOBODY on the face of the earth could relate to michael. In zombies version, many many people can relate to having a shitty childhood and wanting to kill people. No one can relate to a 6 year old who murdered his sister for no reason whatso ever and sits staring out a window and barley moving for 15 years, cuz its crazy and inhuman and completley evil! which is why its sooo creepy and almost disturbing. Theres no comparison between the two films

worst remakes ever made. disgrace to the franchise. expected more from zombie when i heard he was directing them too. worst mask/costume of any of the halloween films, too much bullshit about michael as a kid. fucking ruined lauries character. i love profanity and even i couldnt listen to her (cant remember if the script was as bad as the remake of H2) but anyways - a really bad movie. he should never have fucked with this original. they should stop fucking with all of them. suspirias next omg.

Zombie couldn't hold Carpenter's jock strap. Remake sucked balls because Zombie made Michael Myers as a youth seem human and he never was suppose 2 be betrayed as such. Inside of Michael never was human, even before he killed his sister. And the Dr. Loomis in this remake sucks donkey dick. i realy loved the last two halloween movies, this is one of my favorite entries in the series, zombie's sequel was very miss leading, it's actualy a great film, showing the effects of a terrible encounter and how it affects someone [the whole, mommy thing was weird though]

I saw this film and in my opinion it's like a day of a butcher just with less sence. I like some of Rob's songs so I wanted to see this but I expected a way more intelligent movie. It may be a good remake, but I would not like the original as well. So this doesn't makes me respect Rob more. And I thought when I was watching the film that a mentally healthy guy doesn't make a film like this to express himself or something. I may be wrong.

This was a good flick but the original is way better because it gave Michael Myers backbone and depth without actually exploring his past. We knew he was evil and knew he killed Judith and would kill again, and the rest was left to the imagination. I'm not saying Zombie's is bad, I'm just saying I prefer Carpenter's vision

kinda, but not really. Carpenter never really addressed what happened with young michael, so zombie came in and put his own spin on it. That's why it is referred to as a "re imaging" and not a remake, pretty much the same orginal stroy story, just a witha few things added in here and there and a little bit darker.
