  • and nice chevelle

  • @thederrick1966 Thanks man! I do have a video of the chevelle build, just go to my channel and you should see it in the top right corner!

I'm glad your checking out the build!!

  • @Rasd4Metta u have some really really nice toys .. i got some toys but all mine are only 87 percent done .. and i will check it out

  • new to your channel nice song and very nice project

  • Wow I never watched the beginning of your resto..Man you have come a long ways in a short time..

  • @ncautoman57 Thanks man! Ya my wife is vary understanding, she lets me play in the garage all the time lol

  • Hey man, starting to watch your videos tonight. Your car looks so much like the one we started with... Body panels not fitting, partially disassembled, some rust on the roof. All your suspension components rusted, and in bad shape... like you said, like watching my videos. Really nice job on the floor pans, quarters, and sheetmetal work! Looks like we both made our seams on the quarter panel in a similar place...

  • @turbocobra Well beleave it or not but it was my first time doing metal and body work. My Chevelle, I did everything but the bodyand paint, so from watching them work on it and from what I've seen on tv and youtube I decided to try it myself. Still not sure how the paint will turn out but if I don't try it I'll never know. Ya you'll see that alot of the stuff you did in your videos I had to do in a similer manor

  • What suspension did you put back in it? I am 19 and am working on a resto/mod with my dad but I am having trouble finding a decent suspension that doesn't cost an arm and a leg.

  • @TheSkiier11 I used the factory suspension, but I used 2" drop hotchkis springs in the front and 1.5" drop hotchkis leafsprings in the rear! The hotchkis wasn't to bad with price. What kind of car are you and your dad restoring?

  • lol i have a doverman and germsheperd they my kids since i don´t have any i do like ur videos i love old cars and tucks easyer to fix then the new ones plus i miss the iron stell or metal hard to kill lol

  • imthe 6 one before i got sleppy and the chevelle wase my next choose nova was just a thought hey on the 6 tape was that dog a black lab?

  • @Wolfman1974ify Yep black lab and the other one is a pointer hound, you may see him in other video's if not you should hear him lol

  • um that yellow car just off top of head thats a 70´s nova ?

  • @Wolfman1974ify Close, it's 72 chevelle, check out my page I have a video from start to finsh on it!

  • lol have not heard that song since the movie top gun good pick and that is a nice bird u have best year too

  • @Wolfman1974ify Thanks alot, glad you enjoyed it. I hope you check out the rest of the video's on the build up.

  • bad ass video. Dont see many Firebirds. Im a 69 Camaro fan but a Firebird is a better car in my book. build on.

  • @woodzo40 Thanks! Ya there are a couple birds running around my area, but I think I'll have the first one with the LS in it!

  • @Rasd4Metta cool. 28 mpg and 350 hp.cant go wrong with a lS1.. Man i do miss my 01 Vette in the day/ Only thing i dont like about a lS1 is a coil per cylinder. man that sucks. $100 per coil.lol. What gas pedal did you go with, since its a drive by wire?? Lokar just put out a new gas pedal, with drive by wire for street rodders. Take it easy Jeff..

  • @woodzo40 I'm going with a cable driven throttle body. BBK makes a 4 bolt cable driven one for the LS3 intake, thats what I'm waiting for right now, I'v been waiting a couple months for it, but I don't know if I'm going to wait any longer, I might start breaking the car back down and get it ready for jam painting and hopefully when I get that done it will come in! I got all my electrical done for it, modified the engine harness and built my fuse block, relay center and tested it with an ecm.

  • hi there buddy Im like both of your cars. i love firebirds ive a 92 wish i could afford a earlyer one though well exspensive in the uk. have you thought of a 2 tone col silver on black be nice. maybe black with silver top or silver sides and the rest black. maybe through some sparkle in the black paint so when the sun hits it comes alive ive gold flakes in with the green looks cool in the light and looks dark almost black when not. again very impressive work on both cars.

    kind regards Sy

  • @Syler1978 I'm glad you like the work so far, and some of those paint choices sound pretty cool, I'll have to look into them! But thank you for watching and I should have some more video's up shortly! Take care for now!

  • @Rasd4Metta Beautiful car bro! Good luck! Hope it turns out good, I got a 69 pontiac firebird 455 bigblock, 4 speed, Rust free beast sitting in my garage, And looking into another first gen! Peace

  • @455pontiacfirebird Thanks man! Ya it's coming along, just getting it ready for paint right now! You should post some video's of your bird!!!

  • @Rasd4Metta Its shitty weather up here right now, But the next day its nice I'm gonna open the garage and take a few pics. I have some now, But I had better ones on my phone from the summer but that blackberry broke! And beautiful! What color?

  • @455pontiacfirebirdCool can't wait to see it! The bird is going to go matte black with gloss black highlights, so I hope it turns out ok!

  • @Rasd4Metta Very nice, And Mine is just white, Wanna get her repainted a dark green where it almost looks black

  • do like a metallic burnt orange color and then just have the stock rally rims it will look killer.

  • @snower5554 That sounds like a cool colour, I'll look into it! But I already got the rims for it, check them out on part 6 to view them! Thanks for watching!

  • paint it the original color. I always dig when cars are the same color they were when they rolled out of the factory

  • Comment removed

  • @nissmoguy Thanks for the input but I'm sorry if you did not like the music, not everybody likes the same thing! If you watch the other video's on the build I do commentary!

  • @Rasd4Metta Awesome first video. loved both the music and the fast moving camcorder on this video. :P

Doing a resto job myself now on a Firebird Formula and i will look trough all your video's now to get some helpful tips. Keep them comin' ...

  • @Formula400Pontiac Thanks and if you have any questions feel free to ask!

  • I'm thinking a midnight blue or a shiny black. Nice projects, I'm currently in the middle of one myself! Glad to see some inspiration here lol

  • @matty2k001 Thanks! It's been alot of work but it's paying off so far. My goal is to have it painted by the end of the summer! Thanks again for the color options. Check out the rest of my video's on the firebird!

  • @Rasd4Metta Did, I'm very glad to see your doing your work in a quick and efficient way. Not to expensive, not to cheap meaning the best bang for the buck. You should check out my video of my 1957 Chevy 150 in it's earliest stage. In about 16 months is should be up and running.

  • @matty2k001 I saw the one video you have up, are you going to be putting more up soon? Would like to see that car come to life! Ya I'm just trying to use everything from one modern vehicle so I know everything will work right together, and ya if I can save a little by modifing something to fit other then buying some top dollar part to make work then I'll do that! So far everything is going good, just waiting for the heat to take a break then I'll get going on the rad install.

  • @Rasd4Metta I have much more footage of my car but I want to put it up in one shot so there is no surprises, now it's kind of a *teaser* type thing. Don't be worried, it's not a matter of money anymore, now it's a matter of time.

  • woah look at that LS bombshell you dropped at the end gotta check out part 2 now.

  • how much this cost bro?

  • @CamaroClassics With the price of the car and all the work I've got into it with all the parts I think I'm sitting around $14,000. I would like to finish the car around the $17-$18 range!

  • For a neat colour check out stachji2's video of his 68 Firebird . It's close to 1968 Pontiac Firebird colour called Autumn Bronze metallic. I'm starting to restore my '68 400, any parts available for my project?

  • I got a 68 bird in the 4 min 17sec stage , The color I was going to use is GM blue granite metallic.....maybe.

  • Green ;) TeeHee Well come 2 think of it better not do green or I may start callin it my car.. hahahaha
