What is documented is Hamas's open position of refusing to recognise Israel's right to exist and calling for its complete distraction. Gaza people have voted for Hamas and rockets have been fired from Gaza for over a year.

Sure, there are often unfortunate casualties in military conflicts - US and British troops in Iraq and Afghanistan are no exception.
