i love this so much, its hard to explain, i have been stressed a lot at work lately and i'm listening this song for 15 20 min every night before going to bed while doing breathing exercises, i havnt felt this good in a long while,
@ofir866 So glad to hear that you are enjoying the cd Hidden Sky. I am working on a new cd now that will hopefully be out in a few months. peace, Jami
Oh my goodness. I can't believe you have a youtube channel. This is my new favorite song. When work has my head spinning I close the door to my office and play Maenam. It is such a beautiful mezmorizing song. So serene. You are a true genious. Thankyou for the inspiration.
Beautiful. I found your vid searching for Braid video game. This music is hauntingly beautiful. Leaves me with a heavy heart as if I have lost something so precious and I'm on a desperate search for it taking a moment to rest and reflect on what might've been and reliving moments from my life. Very few music really moves me. Thank you for this arresting music.
This is even better live. Absolutely beautiful. I always listen to this album when ever i fly back home. It reminds me of the times i use to have and the road that has lead me to where i am. Thank you so much for making such great music.
I first heard it on 'Braid', which gives it even more depth.
It makes me think about life in general, with so many people searching for their "princesses" (a goal, a meaning to live), yet just a few will ever truly find it...
@vittau It's wild that you talk about 'meaning to live' in regards to Maenam. That piece began as an improvisation in Thailand - at a time when I really was looking for something deeper in life. In that moment that Maenam was created, that was the beginning of a deep journey that I am still on. You never know when it will happen.
OOps - I just noticed that you are talking about the live performance maybe? I used a digitech TSR24S. It is an old multi-effect unit that anyone can use.
Hi- The effects used in Maenam are not specific to the electric cello. I recorded at Bear Creek Studio in Woodinville, WA and the engineer there used various effects that I couldn't even begin to remember. They were all used in post production as well as playing through an old Fender Tube Amp. Hope that answers your question. Jami
Jami, I can't believe that I'm just discovering you now, and I was in Tacoma at the same time you performed this concert in Seattle! Such musicianship, truly. I'll be back in Washington again within a few days. Would love to have you here in CT some time. Continue to create these magical pieces. much love to you.
@mosaicmatt Hi- I wrote a response to your note but I don't know where it went. Thanks for finding my music. I will be performing in Kirkland, WA in May if you are around. I haven't been to CT for a couple years but would love to get back there. Go to my website and sign up on my mailing list and I will let you know where and when I perform or if there are new cds out. Thanks for your support. Peace and love, Jami
@mercedesalexis - HI Mercedes, It was such a pleasure and gift for me to perform at Upaya last night. Thank you for joining us in a beautiful and successful evening benefiting Ouyporn's program.
It's a different experience seeing someone in concert. I enjoyed being able to see the background stills and video in conjunction with the music. Thank you. :)
