This scene was filmed at Multnomah falls in the Columbia River Gorge. Unfortunately it was cut from the movie. To bad because the falls is incredible. When I was in college I hiked to the top with a friend. There is a shot of the falls during the credits at the end.

what i find funny was i have family about 10 minutes from there and was out visiting last year when they were shooting it didn't even realize what movie it was or that they were in the area was just on vacation. i have tons of shots from this location spent almost 4 hours there that day it is amazing.

Im guessing they did that because in the book Bella avoids people asking her to the dance by saying she's going to Seatle. So, same thing she just made it up so she wouldn't really hurt anyones feelings but saying 'No, I don't wanna go with you.' Plus her mom said that they were renting a house in Jacksonville so she might end up going there anyway if it wasen't for Edward.

I stop there ever time I go see my mom and dad in Goldendale WA right across form the Dales so i go there about 20 times a year it's beautiful there i encourage everyone to go see it the falls and the movie

Hmm, waterfall? That seems...oddly misplaced, however a lot of the trailers and spoilers look pretty much the same as the book, so I am praying for the best. Although, I probably won't care once I am watching it.

That's the famous Multnomah Falls, part of the Columbia River Gorge scenic area East of Portland. We were just there Sept.'08. It's truly breathtaking. An absolute must-see if you get out to Portland, but bring a coat. It was pretty cold, at least for us Chicagoans that came from 90 degree heat that week!

The book mentions the Cliffs in La Push.. but that's DEFINITELY not it... Besides, the Cliffs and La Push are not in Twilight, but New Moon. And it's not Edward Bella's with.. it's Jacob Black.. Hmm..

Let us all remember that EVERY SINGLE SCENE that is in the book isn't going to be in the movie. And the movie is going to have scenes that aren't in the book. It's impossible to change the book into a movie without changing anything. Lines are going to be different, and places are going to be different. We need to accept that.

I think the script writer has done an awesome job from what I have saw so far in the clips. I can't wait to see the final product.

I've been to this waterfall hundreds of times. It's Multnomah Falls on I-84 in Oregon. I've been there already 3 times this year...one of the times was actually around the same time they were shooting this scene. I've even hiked up to the tippy-top a few times. It's a spectacular view from up there! I love coming here! =]]

I'm not sure how the waterfall ties in. I know they added a scene to the movie, the "field trip" scene where Bella confronts Edward about how he stopped the van from crushing her [you can search for it on here], so maybe that's where this came from [later on during the trip]. Or maybe the cast just went to see a waterfall ... With cameras everywhere. Ha, ha! I don't know, just throwing that out thre. :] Watch me be completely wrong though. Ha, ha!
