  • Simply amazing... Jeff was the ONLY one to pull off having "feel" even when playing "technical"

    GOD Bless brutha Jeff

  • Actually I mean track 'All Right'.

  • I agree trxs. That makes Jeff's playing so special.Just listen to the track 'sailing'by Christofer Cross.Jeff stays behind the melody and does not destroy it with showy stuff. He is an artist!

  • yeah...tutts,you set it right.Jeff is showing how he played in the song Mushanga. This groove was quite a headache for all the drummers.A lot of drummers asked Jeff to explain it.And that's it!

  • It's the music that makes you want to play the drums, not vice versa. That's what jeff's drumming made me realize. He's still continuously reminding me of that simple truism.

  • No, this is NOT Mushanga. This is just Jeff showing the Mushanga groove.

  • i mean mushanga groove not necessarily toto's mushanga... but i think it is better then toto's mushanga... have better feel to it.

  • cant beat the feel in mushanga! mushanga example is later in this vid!

  • Great!

  • Jeff! We miss you!

    ...and i too

  • Fantastic drumming! That's not Mushanga by the way.. Don't know if it's a Toto song, maybe it is, but it's not Mushanga. The drums are very similar though.

  • The groove is somewhat similar, but this is a composition wriiten by Mr Garfield on the keys there.. its not a toto - tune!

  • It's the Mushanga groove, but Mike and David are playing a different tune over it.

This is one of my all time fave JP grooves. It's so... Jeff.

    Miss ya, Jeff!
