  • Janis is so awesome...I think I'm going to have to cover this song for my next show!

  • I got dem ol kozmic blues again mama.

  • Blues lived, blues expressed.

From the depths of the soul.

  • @Longshotsblues juste love ..

  • There is only one Janis no one will ever sing like her not even close she draws you in till you are absorbed by her sound...love her

  • WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • janis joplin little girl blue

  • some voices carry emotion to a level that we all have to respond to, its the communication of the soul Janis's voice is the best example, greater than any painting, any poem, greater than any words I can find.

  • some voices carry emotion to a level that we all have to respond to, its the communication of the soul Janis's voice is te best example, greater than any painting, any poem, greater tan any words I can find.

  • cc c farida j'aiiiime j'aiiiime j'aiiiiiiiim super erotik se son <3<3<369

  • Was Little Girl Blue, Now the Lady Legend in Blues!

  • Janis can solve any problem, no matter how big or small. I'm only 16 but thanks to my mom, her friends, and my brother I've been listening to her since i was little.....it always solves everything

  • she died before I was born, my father always said I looked like her, and one day I heard her singing, she took me into her magical world, one day I'll see janis

  • i born when she dies , but since the first time i hear her voice i feel into a spell, she makes me feel so special .......

  • wszystko co śpiewała jest znakomite:) to moja młodość:)

  • take another piece of my heart now baby

  • I am crying. Ugh, I love her so much.

  • Diana Kralls version sounds well also, but this is a "goosebumps one". Simply brilliant.

  • i got chills down my spine

  • extreme feeling. best ever ?

  • did Hendrix really say that?, good judge of character then, lol, brill tune, love Janis+everything about her:)x

  • any one not liking this have got be rapers

  • I just wish that she had realized how "SPECIAL" she was. And had loved herself enough to win that battle with drugs. Jimi Hendrix was quoted as saying he has never heard a singer hit so many notes as she could that is a compliment. LOVE YA JANIS Thanks foor soothing my soul all these years......................

  • 3 idiots put 3 votes as not good>??????????? wow this is pure gold music who ever can hear that are deaf

  • i iternally love you forever

  • I known how you feel

  • cette jolie voix qui ne nous quitte plus ......

  • the only good thing about here dying young, is that she didnt have to listen to disco rap and all the other crappy music that followed

  • Got me crying when I looked down and realized I was playing with all the rings on my fingers as she was singing about it. Her songs come from the soul and what a painful soul she had. it's a shame we don't have her here with us today, but her pain is over. It's also a shame that she's gone and brittany is a millionaire!! what a waste of talent and soul. You are missed.

  • I saw her in concert a few months before she died. I've never seen anyone since then give as much as she gave that night. I still get goosebumps thinking of it. What an extraordinary talent. We still love you, Janis, always will.

  • Is this the same version that appears on PEARL?

  • For me...no singer singing ANY SONG can move me like ...This soul baring Masterpiece from The Queen of Blue Eyed Soul ! I still get Goosebumps EVERY time and I listen to it often...Her performance of this on the Tom Jones Show was Stirring and Flawless ! Sing on Little Girl Blue...I for one will Forever Love You ...

  • Via this site I was introduced to a BP site about the Gulf...This song sums up my feelings about the oil spill and further the all around feeling about the distrust I have about our being "human". The slaughter of the whale, dolphin, our own slaughter through this oil spill. If you haven't seen these truly vivid pictures online or you don't know where to look, just go look at the music you see everyday and the opportunity will pop up for you. It's everywhere! And this song says it as well.

  • neponovljivo :(

  • I miss her and the old days. So sorry she isn't here today; I, too, wonder what she (and the others that died so young) would be doing today. I guess she joined the 27 Club . . . just simply, SAD. Thank God we have these recordings.

  • @pavaughn I miss the old days like you do !

  • ke hersoma musica con una la voz precisa para interpretar esto.... me encanta

  • im a 55 year old man...still brings tears to my eyes every time i hear it....awesome...love you Janis. and thank you

  • Five million stars for her and this song, thanks!

  • Sorry, but no one does this like Janis, its perfect.

  • Janis, you will remain the everlasting BEST ONE of all blues woman singer ever lived on this devil planet. Thank you so so so and once again so much. Thanks for you too arkenciel2z. A hard-core fan from Hungary.

  • Oh, it cannot be too often listened. Thank you so much Janis. For me, you are the White Queen of the Blues. You will be missed forever.

  • perfection.......

  • think about Janis doing, "Who loves you" by Michael Jackson, with big brother and the holding company behind her. nice a slow, deep and easy, so smooth, all 5 octives,, shit,, would love to have heard that.

  • So beautiful !

  • you're my best friend Janice

  • I LOVE YOU JANIS!!!

  • Fabulous. This song rocked me through adolescence and it's terrific hearing it agian. Nina Simone's version is also very good.

  • I always wondered why I never came across any (good) covers of this beautiful song. Now that I'm tripping down memory lane, it's come to me...NO ONE CAN DO IT JUSTICE LIKE JANICE DID. She was baring her soul to us in so many of her songs. Funny the most tortured hearts write the most wonderful songs. Janis lives on...

  • La releche!!!! Buenísima, si señor.

  • I was 20 when she died. This song is her greatest and most personal. She is "Little Girl Blue" if only she had known how loved she was.

  • @slugger100 wow I love your coment!

  • @slugger100 super,słuchałam jej w latach70,. słucham z wielką przyjemnością i teraz

  • This is my favorite version of this song. I have a lot of respect for other artists who have also recorded it, but to me there is just no one that compares with Janis. [: I love you, Janis! See ya in heaven.

  • @PerryLovingPoet wasn't she something? three octives when singing one note good ole drugs wonder what she would of been sing now

  • ten stars for janis the great

Papa ist stets bei dir mein kleine igelchen

  • Thank you Janis...

  • Look up the live performance of this song on YT, Janis singing Little Girl Blue on the Tom Jones Show. Wonderful to see her singing it, it adds even more emotion to the song to see her singing it. Thanks for posting. Peace.

  • I believe the only live performance of Little Girl Blue that is on YT, is the one on the Tom Jones Show, 1969. It's beautiful. Peace.

  • perfect

  • could listen to this song over and over again...

    thanks for posting

  • This is by far,her best song ever!First heard it when I was 15,and is still my favorite.

  • I'm a new admirer of hers and so I'm not the most knowledgeable(sp?) person when it comes to her.. i cried for straight 15 mins or so when i first heard this song,i felt like she is talking directly to me,the "I know how you feel.." part touches me deeply. Its like Janis is trying to comfort me when none can or no one wants to.Thank you,Janis.. i wish we could have helped you..we love you.

  • Wow. Now I understand the song.

  • This song can bring me to tears every time I hear it. It was my sisters favorite song. We were fortunate to have seen Janis as our first concert. I can't hear this without thinking of my siter who passed in 05. Love ya and miss you sis, talent gone way too soon.

  • Wow....I am so sorry to hear about your sister.

This too is my favorite Janis song....It moves me....So I can only imagine.

May your sister rest in piece, with Janis.

  • Janis was amazing. She and Jim Morrison left us way too soon. I love both of them but hate what drugs did to them. What a waste of marvelous talent.

  • beautiful!

    amazing!

    i love you janis.

what i wouldn't give to be able to sound half as amazing as her.

  • love!

  • Janis Joplin was one of the greatest singers this planet has ever seen, too bad she left us so early, Rest in Peace

  • o my god...

    I love this !!!

    Socool

  • My most favorite Janis song! I loved all her music. She sang just exactly how I felt and she's still my favorite even though I'm 58 years old.

  • When I was a kid, I used to listen to Janis Joplin. My friends thought she was awful, my father would look at me when I played her records and ask with a quizzical look on his face, "Why is that woman screaming?" I got her back then, and I still "get her" now. I can listen to this song over and over again. I can't believe that Janis J. died when I was only ten years old.....We always lose the great ones. I guess the stars that burn the brightest don;t burn very long....

  • Nicely said, and so true..

  • that was similar to my experience as well. i discovered her in a storage closet, and played her records all the time, from the time i was 8. now my 6 year old loves her and wants her own album for her birthday :)

she is beautiful, timeless, and so soulfull, it's resounding

most amazing combination of classic rock, blues and jazz i've ever heared

  • I've heard an expression that is very befitting here...A candle that burns twice as bright lasts half as long. RIP Janis, We love you. Peace.

  • amazing!

    amazing!

    my idol.

  • I love her too..

  • I love this woman

  • The most moving blues i`ve ever heard!!!

  • the greatest female blues singer that ever lived, period

  • M E R A V I G L I O S A

  • J'avais 9 ans quand Jonis nous a lâché...

Je ne lui reconnais aucun aucune remplaçante, et pourtant je la cherche, comme un enfant recherche sa mère!...

  • Can't stop listening to Janis! What an addiction :)

  • Too wonderful for words! Thanks :)

  • Proving it - Watch MARGRUX's video - now THAT'S JANIS! I bow to her.....

  • Amazing!!!

i love Janis Joplin, she does an amazing job on this song

  • The canadian tour you´re talking ´bout is The Festival Express Tour. You can find the videos in youtube. I bought the dvd but the director maybe didn´t record too much about what happenz during the trip or he´s waiting for a while, to edit the rest. I think is more interesting to see it here and don´t spend the money. Anyway....y think those are some of the worst performances of Janis maybe because of the hard life they had in the train.

  • the "cry baby" she did on that train is the most amazing ever! not all those performances are bad!

  • Oke, sorry I mis understood. English is not my native!

  • whoa, ive been looking for this on youtube. its a nina simone song and janis kills it. theres an even better version, from the canadian tour she was involved with. a bunch of headline bands of the day toured around canada on a train. i think it happened around 1970.

  • How dare you to tell the community Janis kills this song!

BS Janis doesn't at all kills the song. It 's an amazing version, Janis version.

  • no no. i mean she 'kills it' as in she nailed it.

  • I love this girl. your music make me think

  • There are not many songs that can bring me to nearly shed tears . This is 1 of them its very moving.Sung by a true legend. X

  • I LOVE the song but the video leaves something to be dsired, sorry.

  • leaves you speechless... breathless... thank you so much for posting! the picture is great and the song could be repeated not two but several times, and still it's adorable. legend... rest in peace dear
