This is a great, fun program that is so enriching for little ones. My daughter is now 29 yrs old, holds a BS and Masters degrees & is very close to attaining her PhD in her field. When she was 2&1/2 yrs old I used a reading program to begin teaching her to read as a fun game & she loved it! That program was basic, not entertaining as the Monkisee program is. Nevertheless, by the age of 4 my daughter could read just about anything! This is one of the BEST things you can do for a child.
Also I have given a few away to new moms & they raved what a fantastic video it was.Their babies love them. I'm glad I found a video that not only interests my kids, but teaches them something as well. There are great fundamentals behind this production. I think anyone who buys one of their videos will be very satisfied. It's definately a video the whole family will enjoy & you will catch yourself singing their theme song all day long.
These videos are great!! I know there is a lof of negative feedback spreading around right now about babies reading, & teaching your child to read. I think this video is great for teaching babies & kids to recognize words & say them much younger than other babies. It is very well put together with great music, characters, & taste. My kids love them!
I was thinking it might be good to let my daughter watch this as a learning tool. However, I do want one that will actually teach her something. The your baby can read videos are very fun for babies. My daughter has watched them since she was 3 mnths and still loves them. I have never seen a video saying a baby has learned to read from Monki see Monki Doo (I will look now). I mean, the title alone irritates me. Lets teach our children the wrong way to spell words.
I have used this for my son to learn colors and find it to be simple clear and informative for him.

Monki see Monki do is Wonderful! I brought this for my grandson and he loves the signing and it's lots of fun! He loves to learn!
Hate to say, but it's so much more fun than the "Your Baby Can Read" DVD's; these DVD's are so boring and blah, no fun for babies!
