i played this game untill lvl 34, after that the leveling just bloody sucks imo, so i quit, graphiclly a very good game, but gameplay just doesn't cut it for me.
Awsome Game! It has Cutscenes/Epic Effects/Epic Graphics and PvP where you actually need skills! Its not Easy Mode as WOW, which is a good thing. abit more Hardcore then most. Very good mmo indeed, the best out there

That's fine, I've played Aion Beta for a while but I've also been playing WoW for the past couple years. Being top on a server kind of changes your perspective of a game. Although I admit that the content is getting dull and could use a boost. To each their own :)

80 can be achieved in what 2-3 days, that doesnt not quallify for a fair ammount, a fair amount is when you've raided all the hard shit atleast a couple of times, and aquire some pvp experience, so you truly have gotten the full grasp of the game.

oh ffs thats like 3 weeks old, anyway lol, yes i have raided, ulduar, naxx, the AT raid thinngy that i cant remmeber it's name, meh so i have experenced a lot of high end WoW content, but what pisses me off is that everytime i work hard to get my teir-whatever armor, they bring out the new emblems in normal HC's they have done it twice omg :( anyway i play EQ2 now much better, and people please dont reply to this statment, i no longer care TBH :S

Ah people and their inability to just enjoy a good game with good lore such as WoW. No they instead need to feel superior to others by outgearing them a thousand times over. Bad news guys, Vanilla WoW is long gone...besides Resilience gear broke being able to go to a battle group in full epics and destroy anyhow.
Looks like a prettier version of every free Korean MMO ever created. 1 Mob pull tank and spanks with little regard to patrols/no movement required. Looks like one endless gear check with no actual skill involved. I don't see anyone taking this game seriously in 6 months.
Here is a suggestion, try to type something meaningful for once. Leave out the word "fag", add some punctuation, and maybe someone will take you seriously. Yes I play WoW, so does my fiancee. We typically stick to 5 man content as a tank-healer duo due to time constraints. I also played EQ(2 years), DAoC(5 years), AO(2 years), Vanguard(2 months, terrible game), and various "Korean-style f2p MMO's. Along with these I've played many Non-MMo's such as D2, T4C, and NWN's.
My view on Aion stands coming from the point of view of someone who hasn't actually played it, but also from someone who has no urge to do so. From what I can see it's pretty standard fare. The UI looks nice, the graphics look decent even if I do prefer something a bit more stylized. It's what I've seen of the gameplay that concerns me. Every video I've seen thus far seems to focus on the "incredible" ability to fly to which I at least have never been fond of. This includes WoW's flying mounts.
I dont know what free MMOs you have played. But Aion instances require alot of CC and teamwork. There sure is skilled required, atleast if u want to run the instances smoothly and fast.
Excuse me.. add a cc button next to the tank button, nuke button and heal button. That makes it all better right? And yes, yes she is. :P Also stopped playing wow for a bit, headed back to DAoC out of boredom. Go duel someone in Aion should be done in about 6 months with the annoying flying away crap. :P
the fee system isnt like wow though you get your moneys worth every time lets say you buy 30 days of gametime well it only counts the time when your logged on playing the game so in order for you to only play 30 days you would need to play aion everyday for 30 days six hours and i dont know about you but i dont know many people who play 6 hours straight every day XD
The armor details blow my mind and the funny thing is, thats not the best selling point for Aion. The fluent combat and new combo chain skills make Aion far superior that Wow and not to mention Aion puts a great deal of importants on player skill while Wow does not.

Was the Gladiator able to tank this elite dungeon at lower lvls with the cleric? How many times did he die if any? And did they lose aggro at all?
Just wondering cuz im trying to choose between Glad and Templar, I like to tank and do damage, and pvp.
I think if a Glad is to tank he must have a cleric to main heal. Chanter are considered healers too but i dont think glad/chant would work in dungeons. Maybe Templar/Chant would.
A gladiator wont be able to tank end-game, so if tanking is something you enjoy I'd say go templar. I think it will be hard for a gladiator at very early levels (30) to tank this instance too (it ranges up to 38) - the damage will probably be a lot.
a templar fills definately a key role in pvp and can deal tons of dmg if equipped well. so do glads ofc.
if u roll a glad (also chanters) u will be facing motion/jump cancelling. its a technique to cancel the attack motion (but the dmg will be dealt). the combos strike out a lot faster including the autoattack dmg. its very complicated to do this. many koreans arent capable to use jump cancelling.

So how is it playing on the Chinese servers anyway. Isn't it like a waste because you'll be starting over on the NA/Euro servers? (Assuming you are going to play the NA or Euro server)
This was recorded in february and back then I was playing on the korean servers (testserver to be specific, they were testing the 1.2 patch).
The chinese servers are way too laggy for me but they have a working english patch and they only charge per hour (1 unit = 2hour10min). Which is great if you want to try the game.
I have an 80 Paladin on wow, and Aion (imo) is much, much better! The quests are far more interesting and have depth, the graphics are stunning at times and it adds an awesome effect to game. I am only level 11 so far, so I can't say much more. But I would recommend Aion over WOW, indeed!
I played WoW like crazy , and then i tried out Aion. I quit WoW because of Aion. The gameplay is so much better, the graphics are absolutely beautiful and oh my god the raiding in this game brings back memories of the OLD WoW. I canceled my WoW subscription so i can save up for Aion.

Actually this game does have benefits from moving. Back increases your parry chance, right / left throws your evasion up and forward increases your attack. Not too dramatically but it keeps the PvP interesting.

No. Gameguard disables add-ons. You can change the layout of the UI and the size with the game options but as far as something like Titan etc, I don't think these will work.

It's pretty much tank and spank for ranged on the last boss, he does an AOE that can kill melee pretty easily iirc. We weren't killing any bosses besides the one on the way to the final boss and the final boss. Higher level instances are meant to be harder :]
I thought the same at first, but after playing the beta a bit I found that I'm really digging the Chanter. With my Glad I have to rest after every single mob I take down, but with my Chanter I managed to get into several sticky spots but still came out on top. After I took down fives mobs in one place I thought, "Oh yeah, this is totally my main :3"

i began to farm this instance as a lvl 34 templar and it was surprisingly easy (no tank gear, full crit/atk manastone spec)
the healoutput of a cleric clearly outruns the chanters, no doubt. but the chanter does decent dmg, has mantras and wishes.
if u know the instance well, it can be rushed quite fast even in a small grp. the dmg output has to be high though.

Level 38's fighting level 34 monsters, looks wrong. I guess that's because the monsters in there are elite ones?
Other than that, it looks nice in the fire temple and uploading high quality videos sure helps out.

It's because we're farming the last boss for legendary drops. Which we had been doing for several levels before that :].

So how is it playing on the Chinese servers anyway. Isn't it like a waste because you'll be starting over on the NA/Euro servers? (Assuming you are going to play the NA or Euro server)

This was recorded in february and back then I was playing on the korean servers (testserver to be specific, they were testing the 1.2 patch).
The chinese servers are way too laggy for me but they have a working english patch and they only charge per hour (1 unit = 2hour10min). Which is great if you want to try the game.
Atm I'm waiting for EU release :)

I have an 80 Paladin on wow, and Aion (imo) is much, much better! The quests are far more interesting and have depth, the graphics are stunning at times and it adds an awesome effect to game. I am only level 11 so far, so I can't say much more. But I would recommend Aion over WOW, indeed!

I played WoW like crazy , and then i tried out Aion. I quit WoW because of Aion. The gameplay is so much better, the graphics are absolutely beautiful and oh my god the raiding in this game brings back memories of the OLD WoW. I canceled my WoW subscription so i can save up for Aion.

The end game differs so I wouldn't call it a clone. It's inspired by many different MMOs whereas WoW is only one of them :)

but that is the problem. wow set this standard that make it ok for an rpg to not take skill.
Dodging is based on stats. not player skill.
a spell that does 1 dmg and another that does 1000 are both cast by just pressing a single button.
there is no benefit for moving or having a good position.
I do not have a solution for these problems but i am not a profession game developer.

Actually this game does have benefits from moving. Back increases your parry chance, right / left throws your evasion up and forward increases your attack. Not too dramatically but it keeps the PvP interesting.

I have you even played aion? play it for yourself. the only difference is the skins and they added wings and chain skills. but those are more addons than changes to the original game play of wow.

No. Gameguard disables add-ons. You can change the layout of the UI and the size with the game options but as far as something like Titan etc, I don't think these will work.

It's pretty much tank and spank for ranged on the last boss, he does an AOE that can kill melee pretty easily iirc. We weren't killing any bosses besides the one on the way to the final boss and the final boss. Higher level instances are meant to be harder :]

hmm, all of that together? i would say a Templar or a Gladiator... the warrior classes are easy to solo and are good for PvP and dungeons.

I thought the same at first, but after playing the beta a bit I found that I'm really digging the Chanter. With my Glad I have to rest after every single mob I take down, but with my Chanter I managed to get into several sticky spots but still came out on top. After I took down fives mobs in one place I thought, "Oh yeah, this is totally my main :3"
