Honestly, this is the most frustrating thing I've ever tried to do. I would love to be able to enjoy the game but the Rhino boss is broken. Absolutely broken.

@geminiace I had the same problem with Rhino before. It's actually very simple now. When Rhino gets ready to charge at you, all you need to do is just run out of the way almost in a circular motion. Once he's stunned from hitting into a wall, get as many hits as you can on him. It's also very important to always use the spider-sense counter button when shown. At the end, Rhino charges 3 times in a row. Just get away as far as possible and run out of the way and lead him into any wall 3 times.

@geminiace Oh yea and i forgot to mention, I'm pretty sure it's a bad idea to jump or use your web swing to avoid Rhino's charge. He more than usually hits you if you do that. It's best to simply move on foot when he's trying to hit you with his charges. Hope this helps you in some way.

As a general rule, to avoid his charges, follow Luisferleon's advice. Try to stay in the center of the screen to avoid the charges. Rely on the pounding of his feet to know when to move out of the way if he's off-screen ( which was most of the time for me ). As soon as he appears on the edge of the screen, move away a bit but DON'T START RUNNING. Just take a few steps away from his trajectory and STOP, wait for him to charge back, rinse, repeat, pound the bastard into submission. :)

Wow. After 10 tries, I finally beat him, rather easily in fact.

Here's the deal. Inside the bank, Rhino charges only once and gets stuck. Outside the bank, he will charge TWICE so you need to avoid him 2 times before he gets stuck. On the street below, you will need to avoid him 3 times before he gets stuck.

That's all I did. I kept running AWAY from him avoiding any of his attacks (especially his annoying grab) and waited for the charges. As soon as he gets stuck, pound him.

@nedsthename get close to him to lure 2 punches from him. he will start to charge and u get far away from him. dodge as he come towards u by jumping out of the way and unleash your combo as he is momentarily stun. after getting some of his hp he will knock u to a rooftop. thats where i start to have problems with. he doesnt seem to get stun after his charge

@nedsthename oh i got it. at the rooftop he will charge at u twice before he gets stun and then when u get some more of his hp u will knock him to street level.there he will charge 3 times and then u'll finish him off

@express0oo Lol I honestly think it's impossible to defeat Rhino unless you're on Easy Mode. I've tried like at least 20 times and never beat him on normal mode yet. I was very close but yea, he always kills me with his 3 charging streak at the end. I felt like breaking my ipod touch (as childishly as it sounds). Haha it's either that or i'm just a noob.

@GoodFellax21 ok this is how it goes. after you r out of the bank, hug the left/right wall when he tries to GRAB u. he will prepare for his charge next to the wall after he misses u(assume u dodge his attack). run to the other side of the wall(left/right). this gives u ample time to run out of the way when he start charging towards u. run to the other wall again once he misses his charge and continues to the 2nd charge. do this until he stops and get stunned.

@Davidwilson1212 strength only helps defeating any boss with less time as u do more dmg. if u get hold of the pattern of their att, its easy to predict their moves and u can keep following your usual pattern of dodging and attacking him forever. i recommend u pump your defence first as u wont incur to much dmg incase u make a mistake and get hit from the boss's routine.

@GoodFellax21 point to note: he only stops one of his charges when he hits either left or right wall. if he hit the top or bottom wall, he continues his charges until he hits u. so dont bother runing to the top or bottom wall. hope this helps.

you're in for a tough time for the later bosses if u find this hard =P

@GoodFellax21 I bought the game a couple hours ago and I am hooked! I love the fact that the bosses are so hard to beat. It's always great when you get a game and just can't stop playing because it is so annoying to keep losing to the bosses.

Anyway, I just defeated Rhino on normal mode (took me like 10 attempts). I have broken it down to 3 stages (inside the bank, outside terrace and down in the street).

1. Inside the bank: Limit spiderweb use to a minimum and set the v-stick sensitivity max

Run around and avoid the hits. Just as Rhino is preparing for the charge, stop and just as he takes off,change direction (he aims ahead of you, so he'll get you every time if you just keep running in circles). As soon as he's stunned,sneak up behind him and get as many hits as you possibly can, sometimes you will knock him over, so keep hitting him until he gets up and at the very last moment, use the 'dodge' button that shows up to avoid the circle move he does

Remember to use your special move when the web-meter is full. This is perfect to get you out of trouble if he ever comes too close.

2. On the outside terrace of the bank: run the same as the above to avoid the first charge, but just before he charges a second time, run to the centre of the screen. This will give you more options to avoid the second charge, which is quite nasty. IMPORTANT: remember to use the spider web to avoid his attempts to grab you!

@GoodFellax21 and 3: Go to the center of the screen after each charge to prepare to dodge the next one. Use spider web to avoid the grabs and REMEMBER TO USE THE SPECIAL MOVE, AS WELL AS THE SPIDERSENSE (dodge) button!
