@sethrooo123 It was a late night fire on the back roads north of Perry and not any law enforcement shutting down roads. We got permission from the Emergency Management providing we just stay out of the way and pull over and give way to fire trucks and we did so we got the shots we needed.
@Jemalacane I believe there were some barns full of hay for the upcoming winter and they were doing what they could to save the barns and from what I heard there was one barn that had minor damage but I never got an official report.
@sethrooo123 If you notice this was in some pretty hilly country side and they setup a perimiter and kept it contained and from jumping the road. It had already jumped the road in several spots before enough trucks could get on the scene since some had to travel from 20+ miles away to assist and this was very late night /early morning hours.
@sethrooo123 I think they done a fine job personally considering what they were dealing with and there was 10 times more trucks than you ever see in any single shot that was out hitting it with water so they didn't just sit and watch it burn.
One authority commented many fires started along the I-35, so its pretty much a given that most were set by lit cigarettes tossed out of windows by uncaring smokers.
@chris7525 i appreciate this video an everything the volunteers do and you got some great footage how did you get so close

If the grass fire does not threaten buildings or people, let it burn. It will kill pest insects.

Were there kids playing with fire right before this grass fire started?
Playing with fire is one major cause of these wildfires.
