  • such fantastic music.

  • I only wish it was in the key of bone crushing blackened death metal. That's all. Otherwise it's great, just great.

  • Thank you ... delightful!

  • This music is beautiful, but somehow, I feel like a song made up by Bilbo would have a bit more bounce in it and sound less solemn : )

  • sung by dracula

  • Ah....It would be a dream of mine to wander the world, to see the sights. Taking with me what I could carry and working for the rest. And whenever I would travel...I would think of this song..And smile. Then pull out my Tolkien Collection. [For that is needed for survival as we all know.] and read...

  • I wish we could live in those days v.v

  • Has anyone else been struck by wanderlust yet?

  • @sartanko Oh yes.

  • Great, Iluvatar appreciate this song :D

  • 2 people took a short walk.

  • I like the other version of this better but I cannot deny that it is beautiful. Splendid job!

  • Lots of this music can be found on the cd's "An evening in Rivendel" and "A Night in Rivendel" wonderful pieces. I've been in love with this group for several years now.

  • beautiful, serene and beautiful. Way to go Tolkien ensemble, you have brought Middle Earth to my ears :)

  • Many of these pictures are stunningly beautiful. I want to go to these places.

  • @FriendlyShadow1 If you go to new zealand, they actually give tours of all the places lotr was filmed. I want to go on one someday myself. if i could ever afford a trip to new zealand anyway. lol.

  • @gaarasuri That would be very nice indeed.

  • @FriendlyShadow1 yeah it looks real sweet. you get to camp out and everything. new zealand really is beautiful. :)

  • This song...I feel some deep connection with it, and I don't know what it is. It's like I have known it all my life, but I only recently began listening to it. And It's like I know what it means, but I don't. Can somebody please help me answer this riddle? Also, try to guess what my screenname derives from

  • @KingWhoShallReturn i'm thinking your screen name derives from Thrain or Thror, father of Thorin. :)

  • @gaarasuri Good guess, but nope :)

  • @KingWhoShallReturn lol well I tried. :) I'm reading the hobbit again right now so I remembered that from the book. :P

  • @gaarasuri so you are looking forward to the filmversion? news is coming up if you search for "The hobbit" here on youtube

  • This song...I feel some deep connection with it, and I don't know what it is. It's like I have known it all my life, but I only recently began listening to it. And It's like I know what it means, but I don't.

  • The Road goes ever on and on

Down from the door where it began.

Now far ahead the Road has gone,

And I must follow, if I can,

    Pursuing it with eager feet,

Until it joins some larger way

Where many paths and errands meet.

And whither then? I cannot say.

  • Is the tone lowered here by 1/8th? I swear the version I got sounds 1/8th higher O-o...

  • this is beautiful! it's because of things like this i am here on the tube, shame that not everybody can just be here for the beauty of things!

    cheers!

  • Where did you get the photographs for this video?

  • Mmm. It takes me back to Middle Earth. ^^

  • Why did I leave the Shire? I must go back, now. This song reminds me this is where I belong.

  • Wtf? Where to get this version of the song? I bought the collection with with all four cds. But it is sung by someone else and played by others I guess. ... Yeah, by the Tolkien Ensemble *g* This one too?

  • Just so great!!

  • This is one my all-time favorite songs. This version does a much better job capturing the feel of Tolkien's text than the version used in the film.

  • was it tolkien that wrote this songs?

  • @talicadk Yes. All the lyrics are in the book. Tolkien himself didn't compose the music, though.

  • @FriendlyShadow1 awesome and thx 4 the reply

  • wonderful, beautiful, no words can describe Tolkien's world

  • I want to walk inside the pictures and find a way into Middle-Earth...

  • it's beautiful... but it sounds like a lament. A walking song should have the well paced wlking rhythm

  • 2 people missed the "thumb up" is what I see ...

  • @gri6athebest The two "thumbs down" people are Nazguls.

  • wow.

  • really beautiful.

  • Excellent project

  • Beautiful. I actually sing this one while walking. :P

  • Oh, do somebody know who of Tolkien Ensemble singers is singing this?

  • A far green land, under a swift sunrise

  • This song is verry beautiful... it make me nostagic about the middle earth.

  • The violin 2:22 moves me to tears every time I hear this.

  • I like it, it is very beautiful and pieceful...Tolkien Ensemble are great!=)

  • it almost sounds like Gandalf or one of Thorin's Co. singing

  • Beautiful song and pictures

  • we have a beautifull planet , but we cant see it, except through some videos like this , great and thanks Loach111 for sending this

  • ah but we can see, if only we are willing to look for it...

  • Yeah, beautiful planet indeed. We better take a look around, because it's dying now.

  • yes , and thats a part of life we never can accept , although we sure aint helping , nothing new there either this is a lovely video

  • Surely we can begin to see the beauty again, and this makes us be more willing to help. That's why Tolkien wrote his books, too.

  • Bellissimo!
