  • who won ?

  • @nicoeste8765 I remember watching the game live over the internet. Kasparov resigned in a pawn-down endgame situation. It was odd, because it was not clear exactly why Topalov was winning. I analyzed the final position with a master. We found the way to force the win, but it was, like, a 20 move deep analysis and took nearly an hour for us to figure out.

  • @nicoeste8765 Topalov

  • who won ?

  • Garry shouldn't play poker, with all those expressions.

  • Science had Albert Einstein, Martial Arts had Bruce Lee, Chess had Garry Kasparov...

  • @EricFellip And in terms of though and pirncipals or the roots of philosophical sciences was without doub...Aristotle

  • and chess actually had bobby ficher

  • This guy was just amazing at the board. I was watching to that game through internet, trying to find some espace for him, but topalov just played very nicely. After the game, that announcement was just hard to digest. No one could believe that he was serious on what he was saying.

  • Brilliance is brilliance and is marvelous to watch regardless of nationality. Seeing a brilliant person emerge shouldn't be viewed as a credit to one nation or another but to humanity as a whole

  • @willsmackyoudown : how the fuck did you end up writing crap about ww2, ford, EU, Nato... watching kasparov playing ???!!!??

Yes superman comes from US, and you can keep your fat ass seated, wanking on US domination, and comenting bullshits on youtube.

At least we know your "brain" isn't helping the world right now.

I'm a FRENCH dude (how bad is that?), waiting for your reply :) , but i won't reply anyways.

  • Absolutely hilarious!

  • No disgrace. He WON this tournament., his last, and it took a 2800 rated player to beat him.(Topalov) For me he will always be the greatest, followed closely by fischer.

  • Where are the cool commentators?

  • To win a tournament even with a final round loss. Awesome and here we have youtube morons saying that he has a leaky bladder or computer in the back room.

Its disgusting. One guy said that 'kasparov is overated' . Dear god!

  • I'm tired of people from other nations trying to put down Fischer and Morphy cause you're just plain jealous. I can't help we win at everything. Truth is both men spanked everyone. I mean everyone, to the point it was embarrassing. Yeah they didnt stay on top but not because they couldnt or least of all "afraid". If Alekhine, Capablanca etc played today they would be a lot better today opposed to Topolov and Anand? Those guys memorized book moves. The guys before made them. Suck on it.

  • @willsmackyoudown No jealousy here. It's you who thinks that anybody who doesn't say Fischer isn't best ever is anti-American. He isn't. Plenty of facts speak for other players. As I said, even the famous 20-game winning streak is not unique - Steinitz had 25 wins in a row, beating Blackburne 7-0 on two occasions.

  • @alexmagnus1

Steintz is also in my top 10; Yet mastery of the game goes to Fishcer. You can make arguments Kasparov, steintz etc lasted longer than Fischer did. And if you judge greatness that way then thats fine. A prime fischer, if you placed him any era he would excel over everyone. Bobby trained and studied more than any other player alive. THATS ALL HE DID. he didnt go bang his wife, he didnt go fishing. He was the michael Jordan of chess. And with computer programs today it would crazy

  • @alexmagnus1

No if you have a legit opinion thats fine. But since the world somehow hates us even though we saved the world I dont know how many times. They like to keep us down and pretend we are stupid. Yet the two most brilliant and natural talents ever were Morphy and Fischer. Morphy was by far a stronger talent than steintz. Morphy didnt play chess cause he was a lawyer which found playing professional chess as dishonorable.

  • @willsmackyoudown "But since the world somehow hates us even though we saved the world I dont know how many times"

I think you just showed us all why the world hates the US, thank you.

  • @censortube09

I'm sorry could you please tell us what your country was doing in WW2? Or in Vietnam or in the Gulf War.... any major influential conflict at all really. How about telling us what your country has done for the world... anything at all. Thats what I thought.

  • @willsmackyoudown And there you go again. How do you expect to get respect from other nations when you can't show respect for them?

"I'm sorry could you please tell us what your country was doing in WW2?"

Who is 'us'? I'm talking to one person here, right? But yes, I can tell you what my country was doing; getting along with the germans, as they ruled half of Europe those days.

"Or in Vietnam or in the Gulf War..."

My country does not take part in illegal wars, sorry.

  • @willsmackyoudown "How about telling us what your country has done for the world... anything at all. Thats what I thought"

You wouldn't be talking to me if it weren't for a belgian. Robert Cailliau, together with the brit Tim Berners-Lee, invented the world wide web. But I don't expect you to know this.

    - Belgium together with The Netherlands formed the basis for the EU

    - Brussels is the european capital

    - The headquarters of NATO are in Brussels

Again, I don't expect you to know all of this.

  • @censortube09

World Wide Web? hahah stop acting like you created the internet. It was a collection of geniuses over time TIM BERNER was the one who started the web but honenstly man there was probably a 100 other people working on that. No one cares about the EU and the United States is Nato, we do all your work anyway.

  • @censortube09

How about this. In under 70 years we were the first to mass produce automobiles REAL CARS (Ford), first in flight and the first nation to land on the moon. And inbetween all those historical accomplishments we saved your worthless ass and all of rag beaten Europe from Nazi domination. Id say... that's pretty damn good. Now how about you shut your mouth and say thank you. P.S. we pretty much created the submarine.. unless the brits want to claim a half sunkes ship with oars.

  • @willsmackyoudown "In under 70 years we were the first to mass produce automobiles REAL CARS (Ford)"

I have to admit H. Ford was a great american, but you seem to forget his Nazi past and his flaming anti-semitism. A something americans are very good at, forgetting the past.. But talking about cars, you do know France and Germany invented the automobile, right?

  • @willsmackyoudown "first in flight and the first nation to land on the moon"

Indeed the brothers Wright invented the first -working- airplane. I am very thankful for that, even if it was some 100 years ago, but thank you Will!

About the moonlanding, where do I start.. The russians launched the first satellite, made the first orbit around the earth and had the first man in space. Now the US space program, does the name Wernher von Braun ring a bell? Enough said I think.

  • @willsmackyoudown "Now how about you shut your mouth and say thank you"

I really don't know why the rest of the world hates this beautiful nation called the US, such lovely people living there.. So let me be the first to personally thank you Will, thank you for what some great americans - and US nazi germans - did for this world some 60-110 years ago. I would also like to thank you for the 10s of millions of deaths your nation was responsible for in the last 60 years, THANK YOU!

  • @censortube09

Yeah American Nazis.. obviously that's why we we sided with them. You're right. You would have been way better off with Russia and Germany. I'll be sure to let the UN know that whenever the next superpower comes along to take over your continent that there is no need to worry, Belgium is to the rescue.

  • @willsmackyoudown "Yeah American Nazis.. obviously that's why we we sided with them. You're right"

First of all, I didn't say you sided with the Nazis, although you guys did untill 1944. But as I said before, americans like to forget about the dark pages in their history. Did you actually read my comments?

"You would have been way better off with Russia and Germany"

This shows just how much you know about history. How can you mention Russia and Nazi Germany in one sentence..

  • @censortube09 How about : Nazi Germany was responsible for the death of over 30 million people in Russia. There i did it , can i have my prize now please .

  • @TheOneBlackSheep1973 Well thank you for joining the conversation. But sadly, I don't think you understood what I was trying to say. So I'm afraid there will be no prize for you. Perhaps you should read a few comment back and comment again? That is, If you still want your prize.

  • @censortube09 Brussels is a pain in Europes arse trying to govern people who they nothing of and the U.S backed by jewish banks have become the very thing they were fighting against in WW2 . Prescott Bush (Dubs grandpappy) was a Nazi collaborator exporting the fortunes they stole through the Thyssen group to the Brown Co. , Nazis were the evil of the last century and in an ironic twist the Jews are/will be the evil in this century using the U.S for their own ends waging aggresive wars globally

  • @TheOneBlackSheep1973 What the hell is this?! I told you to read my previous comments.

  • @censortube i read the whole discussion before i commented you are trying to big up Belgium and he is trying to big up the U.S , i was saying you are both deluded.Brussels with their bullshit EU agenda allowing the flood of muslims into Europe and dictating laws in other euro countries they know nothing about and the U.S with their bullshit global agenda trying to impose on smaller nations using military might. My last comment-i had to much to say and not enough space can i have my prize now haha

  • @TheOneBlackSheep1973 "you are trying to big up Belgium and he is trying to big up the U.S"

I'm not trying to 'big up' my country, for the moment there is not much to show off when it comes to tiny Belgium without a government. But since he was trashing a nation he clearly knows nothing about, I was simply trying to educate him on a few facts concerning Belgium.

But this has nothing to do with your comment about Nazi Germany and Russia. So I'll say it again, your comment was pointless.

  • @censortube09 oh yes without a doubt my first comment was pointless it was meant to be , you said "How can you mention Russia and Nazi Germany in one sentence" and i was sarcastically answering your posed conundrum with a bit of piss taking . I came here to watch the master in his final game and upon wondering about what great discussions might be taking place i find two scholars squabbling over whos patriotism is best. Take care.

"Patriotism is the last refuge of a scoundrel" Samuel Johnson .

  • @TheOneBlackSheep1973 "and i was sarcastically answering your posed conundrum with a bit of piss taking"

You may call it sarcasm, I didn't look at it that way.

"i find two scholars squabbling over whos patriotism is best"

My patriotism is about as low as it can get, as I tried to point out in my last comment.

""Patriotism is the last refuge of a scoundrel" Samuel Johnson"

And there we have the most famous youtube quote. Sadly it doesn't relate to a little belgian, a brit on the other hand..

  • @censortube09 Really YT has a most famous quote , i was unaware . How about

"Patriotism is your conviction that this country is superior to all other countries because you were born in it" George Bernard Shaw

Any better ? i doubt it will be for you , and i dont know what gives you the impression british = patriot(welsh actually , oops there goes some patriotism , but not really we just like to distance ourselves from the english in the same way canadians dont like being called american)

  • @TheOneBlackSheep1973 I love the quotes, as they are the truth. But again, they have nothing to do with me. Don't you know my country is in the worst political crisis since its existence, and I love it!

"and i dont know what gives you the impression british = patriot"

Oh really, I guess I just pulled thatone out of my ass.. Never before have the brits been accused of patrionism, they don't carry that name at all. I guess that's Great Brittain loves the EU so much.

  • God, if I were playing him, well yes I would lose, but I'd tell him to STOP FUCKING WITH HIS GOD DAMNED CHAIR.

  • Did he lose?

  • topalov is bulgarian....not lithuanian....

  • What's wrong with the bastard, always wandering off? Leaky dick?

  • He gets so agitated during games!

  • is he afraid to fart at the table or should i worry about bladder problems in my older age?

hes a fun personality of chess

  • Kasparov was overated.

  • Lithuania wins!

  • KASPAROV LOST THE GAME AGAINST THIS BULGARIAN!

  • @obsedatr6 He's Lithuanian.

  • @kurpochelo check out the flag

  • What was the end result of this game? Because i cant tell

  • What was the end result of this game?

  • Kasparov, the man of million faces!

  • Why does he keep going in the back??

  • kasparov simply gets up from the boRDD THE PRESSURE IS GREAT. ARGUABLE THE GREATEST CPE SO HIS LAST GAME COUNTED FOR SOMETHING HUGE!

  • Аlthough I respect Kasparov, it's kinda suspicious to go to the back room so many times!

  • @heikg Don't chess players go back into their room a lot?

  • @MLee1692 That's too many times! What, did he have Diarrhea?!

  • @heikg Really? I've seen lots of players go back to their room a lot. Imagine the pressure and discomfort sitting at the chessboard. You can be much more relaxed and think things through better back in your room. Besides, I highly doubt Kasparov is one to cheat.

  • @heikg I play otb chess and I must say that I find it really irritating play someone that jumps up after every move.

Chessplayers are full of weirdos though. Some don't bathe, fart at the board, pick their nose, mumble etc.

  • @heikg Me too, but it's not like him to go to the back room so often :|

  • 3:41 - MUST STAY AWAKE O.O

  • the description says Kasparov won the tournament, how does win a tournament but lose the last game. How does that happen?

  • @warblerab This can be by point count.

  • @rpdigital17 "This can be by point count" if that is true, then Kasparov had to have clinched the tournament win before this game. So why was it played?

  • @warblerab To see who came 2nd and 3rd etc?

  • @warblerab he was already ahead of the others before the game in points^^

  • @warblerab It's a round robin tournament and not an elimination tournament. The player with the highest number of wins and draws usually will win the tournament

  • i love the face expressions of Garry :)

  • Perhaps if he had kept his ass glued to the chair, he may have played better. Was is with this hoping up after every move ?

  • How come he is able to play simultaneous chess tournaments in quick pace and so slow in a single person game tournament?

  • @damthatriver09 maybe because simultaneous games are for "fun" and this is a real tournament + he is playing against players who are on the same lvl he is.

  • @damthatriver09 When playing multiple games at once, he is playing novice players(compared to him) who make mistakes or don't take advantage of his mistakes , when playing other grandmasters, one mistake ends the game.

  • I actually can't believe that there is no more chess on tv :( I love the old video's of kasparov!

  • why is he leaving a few times?

  • @jyilys Stress.

  • Topalov is very very quiet at the end....but inside of him he must be thinking

"IN YO`MUTHER FUCKING FACE MOFO...SWALLOW THAT MR WORLD CHAMPION!

    IN-YOUR-FACE!!!"

  • @FCKundo

    hahahahaha

    I bet he did

    hahahahah

  • the stupid video camera who coughed like he is in the fuckin house should get kicked out

this game kasparov lost cuz of the fuckin noise and stupid western cameramen

  • @blackoil911 It's easy to blame the others!

  • At 6:36 they shake hands.

  • He didn't even shake hands!

  • Comment removed

  • One name: Topalov!!!

  • 2.10: please wait while i make an inconspicuous retreat and input the position in fritz 11...

  • I bet he wishes he had an iphone with a remote connection to his house computer running rybka at this point haha

  • Best player, EVER. He had to quit, Chess was gonna break his brain.

  • man, you'd think the camera man would be elevated on a platform with a good shot of both players from an ariel view LOL WE CAN'T SEE THE GAME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @upNyaBizznizz You don't use vidoe to view a game if you want to see the game lok at the pgn file footage is not for that

  • @adhdboy699 that wasn't my point at all. with today's understanding of perfect camera shots we could have a much better view, but instead we are looking at the side of the table LOL :)

  • @adhdboy699

true , chessgames has like billions of games to study from

videos here should give the million $ experience of what it is to meet a champion such as kasparov himself

  • sah MAT!

  • no fuckin manners its only a game.

  • kasparovs sou muito fã emu

moro no brasil ...em uma cidade chamada marilia

    queria muito aprende com vc

queria tonar o melhor do mundo no xadrez

    queria não eu vou

    blz

  • where is he going in betweens of the game?

  • but many says the greastes cheas player was beat by the pc name deep blue.,!!

    and thats kasparov.,??

    srr if im wrong

  • @omarbon23 cant win every game. the thign with deep blue was he beat the match the first time but ibm fixed the computer and in a couple years beat him.

  • Que tanto anotan????????

  • @EmOsItSiMo los movimientos

  • It would have been nice to have a few shots of Topalov in this clip. Was he acting the opposite of Garry, smiling, nodding, chuckling, grinning, twirling his pen triumphantly, winking and giving the thumbs-up to the audience, taking out a picture of his girl and kissing it, all on the way to beating Garry?

  • He is so extremely brilliant, why did he not want to play anymore? :(...

  • @newalanlin1084 - Many competitors retire at the top of their game. It isn't unusual. He has the money he needs to live comfortably for the rest of his life. He'd been playing chess for 30 + years. It was time to move on.

  • @JohnQuincyAdams1

Yeah, ok I agree, and plus playing in the tournament can give people a lot of pressure.

  • Let me guess. Topalov opened with a D4 in this game.

  • @TheAssasins97 no! topalov was playing black.

  • @corneredthemarket

Topalov is playing white!......the pieces you see on Kasparov's side are captured pieces!

  • @corneredthemarket r u stupid ???? you can totally see the black king on kasparovs side of the board!

  • what is wrong with all the cameramen at chess matches. I can't see where they're moving!!! I don't care what their facial expressions are!!!

  • kasparov wackel, wackel. hehe

  • i think nobody can beat him that machine...

  • @omarbon23 - Nobody can beat him? He lost this very game!

  • que juego pero sinceramente nos e pro que s epara kasparov para distraerse no se

  • @gustavosr1970 K tanto anotan ehh???

  • if it was a swiss tournament he could still win... drop a win but still win more games than the others in the tournament

  • did he die?

  • @TomValedro He retired and went into russian politics. Without much succes btw. His party only got 0,5 % of the vote.

  • @fillosofert You can't really judge it like you would most places... Putin has something of a regime going on and has killed past critics... Hard to call that a real "loss" in the objective hearts and minds of the people

  • his chess computer is in the back room

  • @hoylemj

    hahahahaha!

  • @hoylemj lol

  • jajajaja i likes kasparov smyles !

  • I must be missing something. Why was this video posted, it looks unremarkable to me. Kasparov looks annoyed and bemused but that is hardly unusual for a grandmaster who is losing!

  • Is this man mister Been?? 1:52

  • was Kasparov getting up to go check on Deep Blue for moves? lol j/k Kasparov must have won. Kasparov dose not smile when he loses.

  • who won ?

  • why woud he cheat if he's the best!

  • @allegory666 I hear that. Nobody with any kind of brain thinks he cheated.

  • My guess is that he was just leaving the table because of stress, not to cheat where there were other people watching.

  • he left table to go to "bathroom" lolz

thats wher he has his rybka 2.0 installed

  • He always recommended to leave the table to relief the stress of the game. and he always did that. dont know how often though.

  • @KillerCheebo lol

  • @KillerCheebo many people like to take a walk while playing... refresh the mind in long winded games.

  • Please tell me who was watching in the dressing rooms?

Topalov lost his title to someone who most people believe was using a computer! Just check it out on YouTube or online.

  • @legalrule If Topalov can't beat a computer he doesn't deserve the title. Kasparov beat a super computer and barely lost the second time. If Topalov lost to a comp it wasn't a super one because that would have been an obvious chunk of machine and if he can't beat a basic comp hes a chess chump because I can beat most basic computer programs.

  • So how do you know that a "basic computer program" was used?

Kasparov lost the last match he had with a computer!!

  • @legalrule Because there was no sign of a hulking two ton behemoth of machine. The computer that beat Kasparov was two separate pieces of equipment that had a multitude of men monitoring it. Kasparov was beat with a SUPER computer made ONLY to play chess IBM spent millions on the game only to probably have cheated. Since IBM hasn't released any more super computer's with a chess primary then it had to have been a basic or at least a weak scomp at most either way not as strong as Kaspy,

  • @legalrule I said nothing about the program. The program barely matters the only real difference is the opening book and the calculation logic if it has a weak processor behind it (the computer) it doesn't matter for shit. Deep Blue could calculate a million moves per second because of the man power put into it. Hard to hide such a beast.

  • Kasparov won one match again Deep Blue and lost one against Deep Blue, a good chess computer for the time, but there are chess comps now that would beat Deep Blue 10 games out of 10, as it is rated over 3100 elo points, about 300 more than any GM.

  • how can this be his last game and lost yet win the tournament? was there no final. just sum of effort?

  • They play a swiss tournament which just relies on an aggregate of points, not a knockout tournament.

  • why is he leaving the table every minute?...

  • He is consulting with his seconds and probably with a computer.

  • @legalrule whats the point in playing when u can have a computer assist u?..

  • That is what Topalov stated when he lost the title to someone leaving the table after every move!

There was evidence that the winner had been utilizing a computer!

    I guess its unavoidable.

  • How does that logic work?

If Kasparov or Topalov were really using the computer then they certainly would've have BOTH lost.

See how this simple logic works?

  • Your view on this subject if very naive! Do you really think that computers are all equal?

  • You're assuming factors not relavent to the the topic!

Tests of been conducted with computer programs playing themselves and they both lost and won! For example, have a friend of yours turn on F12 and you do the same and let them play each other. Surprise, surprise one of the programs is going to win and the other is going to lose!! Why if the are programed the same?

  • this is the worst feeling ever, ive experienced this a lot, but this was his last game and he must have felt crazy after this game

  • what happened at 1:50??

  • @beegburd Kasparov saw an error that he made but Topalov didn't see it as fast as Kasparov did so he grew impatient. Although Topalov is a slower player, he is permitted 90 minutes so Kasparov is unfortunately required to wait quietly. Not only could he not do it quietly (leaning forward and back distractingly), but also grew impatient (leaving before the end).

  • wtf

  • kramnik vs topalov unification

  • what happened on 1:50 ?

  • when was he imprisoned?

  • Hmm? is he sick or soemthing? whats up with simultaneos get up :p

    lol

  • He was not impolite - he smiled at Topalov and talked to him and then went away.

  • this isn't his very last game,he played against karpov the other day

  • No! With karpov was exibhition. This is the last official!

  • ah,i see

  • he's getting to old, unfortunally it was inevitable.

  • beginner mistake...

  • but you lost to me almost every time you played me

  • I wish he could play Nigel Short again... & have Danny King commentating.

  • thanks

  • who won

  • Topalov

  • capablanca was the man xD

anyway i like kasparovs style =)

  • in competition when you strive so hard and long to be the best, losing can be like a thousand knives stabbing you all at the same time...you can see the agony on his face...garry knew this game was over a long time before he resigned...but it just seemed too painful for him to get up and quit the game...to experience the highs and lows of competition is to truly live.....!!!

  • i jsut wish he would have done it more politely. it's one thing to lose and be crushed by it, sweep up whats left of yourself and walkaway.. its another to hollywood the whole thing infront of the live audience.

  • well with all due respect...we are talking about the extreme high and lows of emotions..i think only the people who are not very competitive could let their emotions just "sweep up and walk away"...so i seriously doubt he is hollywooding anything..i think you should read some stories of the old masters and how they would insult and throw and break things after a loss...cant see how he could have been more polite about a crushing defeat..with a handshake and honest disappointment

  • well i guess kramnik was never competitive then because he never acted AT ALL like this when he lost his WCC..

times changed. It's different with tens of thousands of viewers live.

  • lol.....well i guess you didnt see the kramnik vs topalov unification match two years ago...common buddy, controlling ones emotions at all times is just impossible.. and frankly this conversation seems a little silly to be having with another human being older than 5 years old..so to capitalize your "AT ALL" is just throwing false statements around...and im sure kasparov didnt act like this EVER TIME he lost... again its all about being human...and emotions for humans are unpredictable...
