  • Wait isn't itunes a legal form to aquire music online ?? Why do they use it as an example ??

  • All these student's need to become lawyers. Than we can all sue the RIAA for their unethical practices. We all need to stick together and stand up to then man if we want to achieve anything.

  • i totaly download this

  • /watch?v=FEy9C64BKbA&feature=fvw better video

  • It's amazing that proponents of illegal downloading now think they are ENTITLED to free music, simply because of the prevalence of illegal downloading in the last 10 years. It would be like Bernie Madoff arguing that he is now entitled to steal from his clients simply because he was able to do so without getting caught for all those years. Bottom line: it screws people out of their money and is thus illegal. Doesn't matter that it was once EASIER to break the law. It's ALWAYS been illegal.

  • @yisacknayrabin

dont care if your comment was two months ago. but its BOLLOCKS download whatever you want, the only people missing out is the greedy coperation

  • No, the artists lose money. Copyright law is not a new concept. The only difference is that it's now easy for people to steal copyrighted property. If it suddenly became "easy" to steal books, food, prescription drugs, etc...would you do that too? You're like everyone else who does this, hiding behind the defense that the corporation is the only victim. if you're going to steal, at least have the balls to admit you're robbing the artist of money. Don't pretend it's anything different.

  • excuse me? artists? MAINSTREAM MUSIC HAS HIT AN ALL TIME LOW

(fake artists no talent, cant even fucking play instruments)

I HAVE NO REGRETS FOR DOWNLOADING MUSIC IN THE PAST.

I ONLY BUY ALBUMS FROM ARTISTS I LOVE. INFACT I HAVNT DOWNLOADED MUSIC IN OVER 6 YEARS (even then i didnt download much). i feel guilty if were to download hendrix or joy division, so i buy their albums instead, why?

( BECAUSE THEY PLAYED FROM THEIR FUCKING HEART!!)

dont assume i download just because i dont care

  • @yisacknayrabin If sharing is stealing, please arrest preschool teachers who are teaching our children that crime is caring.

  • @freakylocz14 Aaaaaaaaaaaaaand that made No sense...

  • @yisacknayrabin The artists only lose money if someone would pay for it if you couldn't pirate it.

  • goodbye freedom

  • i dont understand the government cant shut down these sites i dont understand why they cant something is fishy why they cant shut down these illegal sites i dont understand why the government can find out whos doing these downloads but CANT SHUTDOWN THE SITE!!!!!!!!! again something is fishy with the government

  • These networks do not house the files. They act like a Google and work like a search engine. Shutting them down is a bit like shutting down google because it gave you a link to a illegal site. Anyway, generally when these sites do get shutdown their community just moves to another existing to community or a new site is formed.

  • Hello IT department!!! If you really want to stop it use content filters, block ports, etc...

Also, what is the difference between file sharing and letting a friend borrow a CD? CD borrowing hasn't been a problem but thats basically file sharing too. Notice that it's RIAA going after people and not the actually bands. It's because it's more so how RIAA makes money.

  • Hmm, I think if it gets to the point where you need to 'copy' the CD so your friend can permanently have it, that's when he or she should perhaps consider buying the album at the store. File sharing is 'copying' the music for two parties. Then the other friend might feel best to share it to their friends as well. And so on until everybody thinks like this and the company loses forty percent of their purchases.

  • The differences is that "CD borrowing" as you say, didn't tank the record industry, illegal file downloading did.

  • You have the right to download any song from any website, don't let these corporate ball suckers brainwash you. Fear is a tool of the government

"When the people fear the government it is tyranny, when the government fears the people, that is democracy." Thomas Jefferson

  • I bet you everyone including the professors in that university download songs off torrents.

  • BULL CRAP

  • holy shit!! he really did have limewire open when he did the interview!!!!

  • "Yeah" Trying to catch a fuckin criminal hen there's one in the flash, How Amusing! Why don't you guys go after the real criminals.

  • Hey fuck the RIAA! Get to a wifi point and down load the shit out of it!

  • guys just smoke marijuana its more safe then downloading music and u wont get as much trouble

  • people will be try to download SONGS for FRRE anyways ,forever ever ever..

  • Is funny how people are saying fuck the police when they have nothing to do with it, other than aresting who the RIAA claims is sharing. People, stop being dumb and use private torrent sites.

  • FUCKING POLICE...want even more cash than you already have? Greedy faggots

  • Dumb...are these students already licking up the Big Money's asses? American journalism is yellow journalism anyway. No independent journalism.

  • haha oops sorry DashTH... i didnt notice you saw that too

    haha people are really dumb

  • i love how the kid saying he doesn't download off limewire anymore because his friends got caught has a limewire window up on his computer =P

  • lol, I would not be surprised if the "director of news and information" had a download application open when he was doing the interview. It went into screensaver mode right after he started the interview. but yeah I agree with noceur, I have a buddy that is a musician and he does not make money of his songs, he makes money of the tickets he sells for his shows and the shirts he sells and that is how it is for all the bands. one more thing, torrents are the shit. but there is better too

  • Dont listen to this garbage, fuckk the RIAA, leave the college kids alone, and im not making fun of the girl that made this.

  • yeah RIAA sux !!!

  • "A couple of my buddys got caught downloading from Limewire so I don't do it anymore" DUMBASS. YOU HAVE LIMEWIRE OPEN RIGHT NOW.

  • fuck the police

  • thats retarded. If you pay once, they have your personal information. They will watch you with more scrutiny because they wont give you the same second chance. They'll get a higher fee, and laugh because you're dumb.

  • WELL THATS WHEN YOU MOVE TO CANNADA

  • life is too short for me to worry about that ill still download till i die even after paying a fine!

  • that i love to live in euurope riaa can suck my dick:)

  • tell the RIAA to stop rippin everyone off(including there own artists) and lower the fuckin cd prices. I 'd buy cd's if they were 3 bucks each. thats very reasonable.

  • Who is the RIAA? SONY BMG etc created the RIAA to deflect blame & focus on the PROBLEM??? In Canada we pay more for blank CD's for the rights to share music with friends & family. Don't surf from your own IP. Azureus is a Bittorrent client which can use encryption which can mask what you are doing effecttively which is also effective against bandwidth shaping.

  • go after limewire bearshear kazza etc not a few poor peeps blah blah blah

  • cant pay wont pay.

  • See more concerts, & BUY a T-shirt that's how musicians earn a living not from selling songs, labels make money this way so if you think royalty cheques paid the bills? WAKE UP!!
