I agree with him! I have a MyTouch 3g since Sept 2009 and up until a month ago I had been having a ton of probs with this phone. It was UBER slow (internet etc) and force closed everything. I did have a lot of pics on my phone (abt 800), but did delete over half and it was still slow. The phone would power off randomly. The rep at TMOB did a TRB-SHOOT and it still had software prob. They sent me another (refirb) and the camera doesnt work! I cant win! Very disappointed w/ this phone. :(

It seem like you problems are all personal problems. The fact you don't have 3G services could mainly be because of your location. I have a myTouch 3g and I get 3G service 89% of the time wherever i travel, I live in metro Atlanta area. You saying that the prices for the customizable clips cost too much...but if it really cost so much why did you buy two in the first place. Lastly, you complain that the application aren't useful...but that is once again your opinion.
If that's what is making you unhappy, you should just pay the 200 fee to cancel your plan (after returning the phone) and go with someone else, because T mobile just sucks balls and there's nothing you can do about it.

well tmobile doesnt work everywhere. so there is nothing wrong with the phone its the SP. you can call tmobile for the unlock code to use on AT&T seeing as you bought it without the contract. and with cyanogenmod you can tether the phone to a computer without them finding out. android like linux is not for everyone, and if you still had it now you would see there are WAY more apps now even stuff you cant get on the market.

Dude you clearly did not do your homework on the My touch 3g. The android operating system is very customizable. The phone can be rooted which will open the door for alot of good stuff. The data package for $35.00 is not to have access to 3g it is simply to have unlimited text and internet. Please do your homework before making a video.

Dude the phones new, it's the network not the phone. Everytime I get a new phone it has problems and they have over the air updates to fix bugs on all cell phones. You didn't give it time. Be patient when it comes to new product..it comes with great things

Im in florida. it really depends on where exactly you are bcuz the 3g network isnt great everywhere, but it can reduce from 3G to Edge then to Gprs so u have 3 different internet speeds to work with if one isnt available in your area. but of course thats on u if u wanna buy all the accessories to customize your phone even better,
i hat\d the g1 first and i just upgraded to the my touch, i actually spent $199 for the phone but i had to extend my contract, which i didnt care about cuz i feel t-mobile has great plans and services. so far i havent been having any problems with the My touch, its a very great phone and it does what i want, if u compare it to all of the other phones that tmobile has its one of the best phones out because theres thousands of apps to make the phone completely yours

2) Customization (Research before buying a phone, only listening to the commercials is ignorant)
3) The apps (These are the android apps, there are only 10,000 available, approx., at this time compared to iPhones 100,000. Again not myTouch faults)

Dude you clearly did not do your homework on the My touch 3g. The android operating system is very customizable. The phone can be rooted which will open the door for alot of good stuff. The data package for $35.00 is not to have access to 3g it is simply to have unlimited text and internet. Please do your homework before making a video.

Dude the phones new, it's the network not the phone. Everytime I get a new phone it has problems and they have over the air updates to fix bugs on all cell phones. You didn't give it time. Be patient when it comes to new product..it comes with great things

it cost $400 if you are already in a contract. I renewed my contract with 6months left on my previous contract(just ask they will work with you) and got the phone for $99(the kickoff24 promotional deal.) unlimited nation wide calling,internet and text for $75 a month.What other phone company does that? Tmobile customers service is the best!

well first it depends on where you live on how your service goes...if all you can get is t mobile (which im guessing is soo) t mobile isnt the best service you can get, so if you can only afford that dont complain..and you dont have to customize it...thats why its an option not necessary..and its better than most t mobile phone dont complain and the apps? yeah try third pary apps man you dont only have to get the ones they say..

(cont.) But don't complain about customization and accessories. All phones cost some coin to get all the stuff you mention.
By the time I am done with a few cases, screen protector, extended battery, etc., I end up paying about $150 additional for the phone.
One tip: Buy all that stuff on eBay. Cost for accessories can go way down. E.g., I bought a few leather cases for $10 each instead of about $40 elsewhere.

(Cont.) I have had T-Mo since 2003. I have had my share of dropped calls and it is annoying.
And for awhile I could only get 3G in my city, San Francisco. When I went down the Bay Area I'd get edge, which is unacceptable. Now I get it in the entire Bay Area, which is good.
I have a G1 (and Touch Pro2 now). I like the Android Market and the apps. Some crash, but I just reinstall to see if they work.
But yeah, if you don't like the apps, that is a good reason to not like the phone.

I don't think he is being cheap at all.
His are all valid reasons to not want the phone.
If he was cheap he would not have paid $400 for the phone. I know a lot of people who are crying when a phone cost more than $200.
For that kind of money I would expect the 3G to work perfect and in all areas, not just his house. And remember, he is not only paying $400 for the phone, but over $450 a year for the data plan. At $1000 for the year, things should be perfect.

Im in florida. it really depends on where exactly you are bcuz the 3g network isnt great everywhere, but it can reduce from 3G to Edge then to Gprs so u have 3 different internet speeds to work with if one isnt available in your area. but of course thats on u if u wanna buy all the accessories to customize your phone even better,

i hat\d the g1 first and i just upgraded to the my touch, i actually spent $199 for the phone but i had to extend my contract, which i didnt care about cuz i feel t-mobile has great plans and services. so far i havent been having any problems with the My touch, its a very great phone and it does what i want, if u compare it to all of the other phones that tmobile has its one of the best phones out because theres thousands of apps to make the phone completely yours
