the problem was @ 36sec = push out the uprights is a disaster.
Better with Full power 2-3 seconds and after run, shoulders in the uprights, big steps ................( moonwalk = some steps in the air ) ........and confidence.
but can you take the engine out of an ultralight and go flying for hours in the mountains? without this annoying sound ?
I guess not.
Well, the swift might be an exception, but I don't know any others.
By the way, a powered hangglider isn't meant to travel with. The engine is just to gain height, turn it off and fly thermal. So you can't compare a hangglider with an ultralight, because they're meant for complete different purposes.
@tailwheelflier what about the cost of keeping a ultralight ! hanger and airfield cost & not mention a lot more fuel costs.. powered hanggliding is far cheaper and much more fun !
Oops, did the prop strike the glider sail? Looked expensive. If you apply full power before starting the takeoff run, the run will be shorter, you'll accelerate to flying speed quicker, there's less time for things to go wrong and more space in front to abort. Just my thoughts, safe flying. Pete

makes' no sense to invest that kind of money on a hang glider with a motor,,,when you can buy a really great ultralight,,,WITH WHEELS,,,for under 5k
