So violent, and incredibly disheartening. I've analyzed many EVPs, both my own and those made available in the public domain. This one is the absolute worst. I've yet to hear it all the way thru nonstop.. I wonder if those spirits have any idea how many times, and over how many generations they've played that horrific scene out. With such a perpetual torment, no doubt those not insane at the time of death saw how appealing going off the deep end would be. If only to have some other place to go.

I can clearly hear multiple seeming other voices in the background at times besides the normal humans. I heard very loud whispering conversations very clearly towards the end too, but never did pick up on the other stuff, except the cuckoo clock seemingly...ongoing in a way there really is a WHOLE LOT GOING ON THERE!~ Thanks! I hear a lot but it's not that clear except the screaming and maybe the whip sound. A lot of cracking noises too, but is that just the recorder or people tapping into things. The ongoing conversation in whispers under the rest of it is unsettling. Would love to hear an EVP from this place with no other conversations and question and answer format.

Crappy equipment! When will any ghost hunter bring a full on, Hollywood quality recording device to a hunt? Answer is never! Because they won't record anything but silence with quality equipment. As much as I want to believe in ghosts, I am disgusted with the research. Small IR cameras can't capture a ghost, small digital microphones can't do it either. Big guns capture Big rewards. I want to see a ghost, Period.

I wish this EVP could be cleaned up. I listen to LOTS of EVP's (including my own), and this one is sooo tiring to listen too. I don't believe I've even heard ONE WORD. Of course I just lose intrest right away with this one. I've tried 5 or 6 times. Good Luck to Those that do find something. @joshanator1, get you an old used Sony ICD-B7 recorder...that is a good one. Also the Sony ICD-B300 (sometimes better than B7--NOT Always)...I also have a Panasonic RR-DR60 (my favorite) but the B7 is my 2nd choice and the B300 is very close to my B7...in fact the B300 is a little more clear in sound of EVP's. I ALWAYS set my recorder to highest microphone gain and LOWEST quality recording (longest recording times). Ask question, wait 15 seconds for answer...as questions for 3 minutes total.

@joshanator1 you can get both the Sony recorders on ebay for around $20 each.

The DR60 will cost you from $800 to $2000 on eBay. I got very lucky a few years ago and got one for $130 NEW on eBay. That will never happen again :-) Take multiple sessions of 3 minutes at your recording site. Reason for 3 minute recording is because your mind gets tired and you might over look some of your EVP's in the weak background. So with the 3 minutes over....you have time to rest.

The Panasonic RR-DR60 is obsolete now (no longer in production) and highly sought after because there is evidence that it makes an excellent EVP recorder. But I believe (and others do also) that the Sony ICD-B300 and Sony ICD-B7 recorders are a nice compromise....Try one of those and as said before --- when you hear your NAME being called you will get a nice set of goose bumps that you will never forget. *They just know your name..no need to ask them to repeat it

@joshanator1, a 3 minute recording still might take you 15 to 20 or more minutes to go over listening very carefully. I suggest downloading AUDACITY software to help with your playback and enhance of the recording. I also use the VLC software as my "playback" format.......

Amplification and high or low pass filters are best to use for enhancements....

I also use the "repeat" option set to 10X so I can review a highlighted area more closely.

This recording was taking in January of 2007 The "Central New York Ghost Hunters" are the Original people who recorded this file. A Google search might give a "little" more information...not much.
