i hate it if people stay way to close to the crane when you're working with it! It goes a hundred times wel but once it will go wrong and nobody likes that, so keep clear keep save!!!!
What's that guy with the shovel even there for? I mean he's like.. oh looking like I'm working.. *shovel* *shovel* *shovel* 'Oh the joys of flinging gravel' he whistles merrily to himself.
@uncivilengineer I have been hit int he head by a backhoe excator bucket and no damage was done to me other than a little bruising, It all depends how fast he hits the guy when in swing
my dad and i run an excavating company in northern illinois US when we were looking for somekind of off road dump we had a tractor just like that and when we looked for a dump like the one used in this vidieo they are almost impossible to find around here when we did find one we were told that if it broke down it would take weeks to find some of the parts so it was just easier to get the standard adt trucks
no danger at all the worker is a safe distance from the operator.other than the fact he should have a hard hat, but that would protect him if a big slab like that fell on his head. lmao!
i dont see the danger at all.. im educated construction engineer and work on sites like this all the time. im also an excavator driver 7000hours and i can say that u control these machines very presize. only thing u should be careful of is to stand directly beneath the "shovel" or how u spell it.
it dosnt matter if trucks have more enginepower than an tractor, its the transmission that does the trick in basics.anyways that was not what i wanted to point out here.
trucks are regulated by laws on how much they can haul and weigh, something tractors aint.
absolutely no danger. i have the sam job like that guy and that situation is always watching both people each other. the excavactor driver takes an eye on the guy who put the dirt together so he can better take it with the excavactor. Only part here what is really danger is he should wear a helmet.
k well other than having a super big fetish for "heavy" equiptment what is the point of posting these videos? if these excite you, i would suggest taking a trip to the Canadian oil sands ( or any mass production mine ) that would put pity to anything here, there are loaders that could fit ur CAT 938 G loader in its bucket. even round town here, we have a loader that needs a escort to get around. but as for this vid yes its a smurf :P and its truly odd to see a tractor being used for road work
your obviously living under a rock or have no construction sense. tractor and buggies are used all the time they will go over and through alot more than rock trucks
@fuzzytopbop Tractors get to use agricultural deisel in most countries makeing them even more popular, and their uses are not limited to pulling weight. They can have loaders, they drag stuff, I've even seen a guy bring his girlfriend off for a ride in his fast trax. Tractors are so versitile
Ever hear of a road planer?

I see no danger-no way that guy's head could damage the bucket.

Hard hat would make no difference if that excavator hits him in the head.... same for a "large slab" considering a small slab of that weighs enough.

This is a big example of near miss.

No hard hat. I think that would be a violation in the USA.

the worker should not approach the machine form that angle. the operator cannot see him because of the main jib. that is his blind side

is it common to have Agriculture tractors working in construction sites over there? (just like the one the excavator was loading)
KTMNick87 2 years ago
Hi
Yes its common to see a tractor and dump trailer being used instead of a lorry / truck
irishhorsebox 2 years ago
Nonsense, I've never seen one so it isn't as comnon as you think it is.

It seems its not the case everywhere but in my region all dirt/rubble is being moved with those tractors.
Main reason is they go as fast as a truck but can pull more weight and handle rougher terrain.. I guess..
LaGresse 2 years ago
Absolutely not, trucks are able to pull as weight as a tractor can... and faster, have you never seen a heavy haulage ?
Truck's engines develop about 500-600 HP and more, big tractors only 250-350 HP
Trucks can pull over 300 tons, i can send you pictures if you want
The reasons why they used tractors is maybe only because of the terrain
