That's a nice looking bike for being so old and actually being used. I have a 79 dt250 and although not the quickest bike it's never let me down and runs great.

Ive owned a shit ton of mopeds and scooter, but decided i needed gears to get around town, and something for the trails by my moms house. I wanted a smaller cc like 125 or 175, but this was best priced and complete. Nice bike.
i got the condenser at my local yamaha dealer, it was very cheap haha. it doesnt overheat, when revved high it goes decent for a 78. when your in low rpms putting it kinda pops if your talking about what i think you are. but shit, its a old two stroke. cant get much better than how its running
hey man i just picked up a rebuilt 73 dt250 its runs great while its in nutral but when i go to drive it i have to stay at low rpms whle driven and then some times i can give it and it will pick up a lil quicker but most the time it just bogs and stuff and does wanna go is this what yur dt250 was doing?then u got the new condensor and then were u able to give it and it would go good?plz get back to me id realy appreciate it thanxs man
when i kick it over and put my thumb over the spark plug hole after taken the plug out and turn it over just a bit it blows my thumb right off.what else do u think it could be cuz it has good compression
i was able to get it running with the choke open finaly now but havent had a chance to test it but it still pops when the choke is oopen some times.i put in a new plug the one it said to put in popped like crazy stalled had to keep it at liek half throttle to keep it running in nutreal and stuff
look on my channel just got my hands on a 1981 dt 250 mx,i cant beleive how much abuse it can take,got a few things to do to it,unseize drums and clutch but its a great runner,what top speed did you get?
Heheh.. Mines a 75' replace the VM /w a TM28 Mikuni.. add a Webco head and boyesen Reeds...wiseco piston... Paint everything black except the tanks and fenders silver.. :-)
like the battery cover and the one that says enduro 250? nawh but whenever this bike doesnt run anymore i would love to sell you it for parts. because i found the problem with it runny . a 16 dollar condensor. but ile message you if i change my mind.

i dont suck. this bike sucks. the throttle sticks. it doesnt haul. the timings off. it overheats then misfires. its a 78. you cant jump it without bottoming out and worrying about the frame splitting in half. so dont talk shit about people when their on a shitty bike. RC would suck on this bike.

If u take off the silencer you'll get a lot more power,
