The salvation that Christ offers enables me to return to God. It is based on my faith in Him. However, as the Bible teaches, it is only those who "do his commandments" that "have right to the tree of life" and "enter into the gates of the city"(Rev 22:14). In order to receive eternal life, one must have had a change come over them. They must become a "new creature" (2 Cor 5:17). Faith and works are inseperable, as James taught. Without works, your faith is dead (James 2:14-26).

I testify that the Book of Mormon is of divine origin and all mankind shall be judged by the testimony it gives. Its coming forth was in fact foretold in the Bible in Isaiah 29:11-12; by foretelling the conversation between Martin Harris & Professor Charles Anthon documented in [THE PEARL OF GREAT PRICE] Joseph Smith History 1:63-65.

LOL! Yeah talk about a slob and a half....ah well, I really get into my lessons - GRIN! No I was teaching here in Idaho Falls by the Snake River at the church by the temple on the corner there. Lotta fun.

You explanation of Genesis 1:1 is right on. I took an open course from Yale on the Hebrew Bible is this is basically what they taught. I think even the Early Church Father, Origen, understood the Hebrew creation account to be a temporal account and elaborated on what was going on outside temporal existence.
