  • I have an 07 919, completely stock (besides bafflectomy, integrated tail, fender cleanup) and have hit an indicated ~160 on the speedo. Full hug on tank, feet on passenger pegs. Sat there for five seconds, speed would not budge.

Best bike I have ever owned. 0-100 it will eat just about anyone.

  • I've got an '07, weight 145. I hit 140 earlier today. There's more room on the tach, but not in the road. Just ordered a mount for my iphone, so I'll get video when it comes in.

  • i just posted a top speed run. check my video...

  • live 70 feet above sea level and could get just over 150mph when i was at 150pnds. but i only see 140mph now im at 176pounds

  • Mine (2002) tops out exactly at 150.

  • they must all suck at hitting 2nd gear. is your ignition kinda crappy? like you want to hit it because they key never wants to turn right

  • maybe i should make that video i know mine could hit 150

  • this bike is absolutely insane cars and traffic are seriously just cones in the road.. i just took my friends 2007 for a ride on the hightway and hit 150 EASY and i think i was in 5th gear also, this bike is a monster

  • Where was this video taken?

  • I have the 03' 919 with just a K&N filter on her - with stock pipes & no power-commander - and my 160lb-self has seen 166-167 several times. Chin on the tank & really tucked in. No plans to sell this machine any time soon - I love this bike!!

  • i got a 07 stock 919 i had it up to 155 160 hard to tell when at that speed. but it was pretty much topped out. and the speedo is off about 3 to 4 mph. at 40 according to radar. so who knows how much its off at 150

  • my stock 07 919 tops out at 157 before the rev limiter stops it.. and it accelerates a lot faster than this video.. how did you film this thing??

  • they do top out about 150 stock, and if you keep your helmet on your gauges to cut down the wind drag you can usually top out in less than a mile, hell the bike is rated at 130 in the quarter. i ususaly clear 120 just to pass cars and if you are afraid to go that fast then you shoulda bought a 400 not a 919

  • A 400 supermoto would be a nice addition to my garage. I am sure my 06 919 would go faster than I topped out on that day. I'd love to see a video of anyone else's stock 919 speedo closer to 150, but I can't find any.

  • @abarash my '02 hornet has been up to 250 km whitch is just under 160 miles.no video though.it did had some more...

  • @bucciwil if your giving advice on not going fast enough on public roads i think you need to stick to a car

  • you can get a 919 faster than that. i've had mine up to 155, but ran outta room to see how high it could top at.

  • a friend of mine has an 08 919 stock. it wont go over 150

  • where you from?? I thought 07 was the last year?? in the states anyways?

  • @Jerlemi2 Um...they stopped making them in 07...

  • @Barricade053 grr...i meant 07

  • i thought a 919 would get above 150 no problem,, heck my old 700sc will do 140 when pushed, and id think a 919 would be alot quicker!!

  • I have ad my 919 at 155 mph ...

  • what a lil girl... it goes faster than that... i have an 02 hornet with 42T sprocket & my shit tops out a lot higher tested with police radar

  • i'd poop myself if i went that fast, LOL had my 83 650 nighthawk to 100 once, and that was with myself plastered to the gas tank and my chin damned near on the gauges. bikes are so fun!

  • Honda 919's are great bikes..

  • I topped mine out at 155 Mph

  • Stock gearing shouldn't let you get to 155. Mid 140's is about the most it can do. It'll look like it's going faster, though, b/c the speedo reads +7-10% on the 919. It makes me suspect that the factory dinked around with the sprockets just before release to make the acceleration snappier.

  • I just bought a 07 919, and I can't find the torque or HP specs.....any ideas for a 2007 STOCK CB919F??? I know it will hold the front end up till 100....LOL

  • If i'm right I think they make around 100hp, but I'm not sure how much torque. I would guess around 70 foot pounds of torque though.

  • hp rated at 110... actually mid-uppers 90s

  • I have had mine (2003 w/Yoshi) up to 155 on the speedo. I have a GPS also and I figure the speedo is exactly 7% off from testing at different speeds. So that equals 144 mph. At 155, it redlines. I am also at 3500ft MSL with an average density altitude of 5500ft ish. That's even with some massive Chase Harper bags I have on :)

  • I own a 2003 919, the only mods are yoshimura exhaust and a k&N air filter and it will reach 160mph on the flat no problem. the last bit of acceleration is pretty slow though

  • Looks like you gave in a rolled off. I passed a supercharged Cadillac at 130+ one the crest of a mountain on the I-5 near Gorman california then it quickly reached 150+ going downhill. I got scared and rolled off when I saw that. It was to hard to see and hold my helmet from lifting off head. Stock 2007.

  • Thanks for the comments!

Some have mentioned higher speeds, this video was taken on a Stock 06 919 at 7000 feet altitud. I have noticed the bike has a lot more power at sea level. And I imagine even more with better exhaust and a power commander.

  • My stock 2006 919 pulls pretty hard to at least 140, but that's as fast as I've had it so far. The area where I live is about only about 700 ft above sea level. The 919 has a great balance of low end power for around town and top end speed for when you need to stretch the legs a bit.

  • just bought an '07, cant wait till hes broke in, then i open it up, the name of my bike is REDROKR

  • '02 919 With Exhaust and re-map, and a windscreen indicated 155 once. Who knows what the actual speed was but all I can say is never again! At that speed the front end starts to feel really light and unstable where a bike will full fairings would still feel stable. I love my 919 though!

  • sorry to dissapoint everyone but a 919 will not do more than 140. actually ive only gotten 137.9 on the gps. cant count on the speedos for a true reading. the 919 is almost 8mph off at most speeds, sometimes more.

  • Thankfully I allready knew this when I got mine, The truth is thats true for alot of cars and bikes after 100 mph. But he's right the indicated speed is wrong, Iv got mine to 140 and thats about tops, Still gets there fast enough, and it is rev limited.

  • gotta disagree man, because my forum has over 25 guys who have done well over 155 on theirs with speedos corrected.

  • i love how my husband's is so quiet

  • i have had my 07 at 165 ....jen

  • i have a 02 stock runs 160mph

  • Wonder what the wind's like up there. :)

  • We're hugging the tank, that's for sure lol

  • I have an 02 919 (mufflers, power commander, air filter) that I've touched 151mph in stock gearing...took a while to get there - will pull pretty well to 130mph or so...I'm a pretty heavy rider - a sprocket and a smaller rider and the bike would easily make 160+mph...

  • The 919 can reach 170, at least the 07's can.

  • Mine is an 07 and I about wet myself after I hit about 120! I can never find a place to go any faster! WHY are there so many different posts about how fast they can actually go? I was guessing maybe 160+ but now I don't know. But the 919 is still freakin scarey at any speed.

  • 919 rules

  • Top end testing? You got a governer on that thing? I've seen 145mph on my '04 919. I am curious as to what the top end really is on the bike. I'd guess about 160mph but it would take a long straight to get there. Seriously though, the street really isn't the place to find out and we all need to be careful out there. Nice video.

  • it can go 165 mph and it took a little over a mile to get there

  • nice

  • Yes of course, I always wear a helmet. :)

You can even see the reflection of my helmet in the speedo glass.

  • I hope you were wearing a Helment!!! :)
