  • @jerkfaceloser I really wish the Dustin Hoffman reading were available.

  • The Point! 1970.

  • the point it is on dvd!!

  • The point! 1971 by Harry Nilsson and Ringo Starr

    You have good taste!

  • Narrated by Ringo Starr.

    Pretty cool.

  • I have needed that lifeline one time. I can feel exactly what he says....

  • where can I order the record????????

    Melissa

  • I just ordered the album on cd , LMAO

  • this song is so tripy i love it i saw this when i was a kid!!

  • I remember tripping out to this back in early 1970's , WOW , thanks for posting

  • I remember being in stoned debates about what it all was supposed to mean. The album with Nilsson narrating was better than the cartoon. All of the songs sort of flowed into one another.

  • yes I had that album, and the songs were better and did flow ,

still a great work for kids and space cadets

  • This sounds like the "Manic Depression Song" or something... Feeling down Harry ??

  • I miss Harry Nilsson's narrating

  • that was Ringo narrating

  • the original pre- Ringo version has someone else narrating.

  • The LP is narrated by Nilsson.

Dustin Hoffman, was on the first film version, but for contractual reasons later airings of the film could not use Hoffman's voice.

    wiki/The_Point!

  • Thank you!! I knew I wasn't going completely mad

  • dear jeanie i luv u

  • I love this song. I only saw this show once, first broadcast, when I was nine, but it made a great impression on me. I am in the midst of a Harry Nilsson discovery. He died young, in his 54th year, just like Robert Palmer and John Ritter.

  • *sigh*

  • when i was little my sisters and i didn't know there was any other kind of music besides the point because every time we went on a trip or even just to the grocery store our dad would just pop in the point tape! I'm so glad this is on here it really takes me back!

  • "thank you" {crca 68}.....

  • Years ago my mum had this record and comming across it now it seems so silly because I can sing along with it all! PS wonderfull to hear it again, thankyou.

  • Not silly. I could sing along when I was younger. It stays with you
