you realize that until Ingram lit them up, Florida had the best defense, right? Gerhart had 60+ more carries than Ingram, less than 200 yards more than Ingram and went against ONE Defense in the top 30 all year... Ingram went against 6 in the top 30... he also did not get a rep past the 2nd quarter in 3 games this year. had Saban kept him in against FIU, North Texas, and UT-Chattanooga, he'd have WELL over 2000 yds this year... But Alabama plays for more than Awards

Everyone always say that the SEC is OVERRATED. Yea, i guess that's why the SEC has the national title for the past 3 years. Gerhart, a good running back... but he would NOT put up thos numbers against an SEC defense. He's played maybe 4 good defensive teams this year and Stanford lost to 2 of them.

Truly the SEC championship game was the "real" national championship game. There are several SEC teams that would beat Texas if they played.

actually Tennessee had a pretty good defense..soo that statement was inaccurate..and vs. Auburn? THATS THE IRON BOWL ITS ALWAYS TOUGH..its traditionally tough down here. Alabama will win this game by their strong defensive strategy..but i don't see a blowout

Look at the defences of Florida, LSU, most any SEC team, they aren't bad at all.
