  • Now why he want to be all jealous now. He was just with the fugly girl~~

  • i hate daisy!

  • @marielovesladygaga doesn't everyone? :D

  • just one? haha what a pimp

  • if its that damn hot, take off them hot ass clothes... white people..i swear..smdh

  • Daisy, what a playaa!

  • Is that little girl really Patsy Kensit?

  • dead seagull scene kinda gross and unsanitary.but i must say gatsby dresses so well and he looks good he reminds of brad pitt a little..daisy is just getting on my nerves..i am proud to say i fast forward some parts with her in it..she is just so immature for a women..and she cries about every damn thing..just chill lady...and i thought it was a white dress not blue dress...7:26 that was the "you never told me you had a kid face" yeah awkward moment

  • Take that seagulls!

  • So many events in my life were quite like this. Really. I'd forgotten about many of them but kept diaries. Yes, I am a writer, and yes, a lot has been published. Thank you so much for this upload. Uprated.

  • "The sun is getting hotter every year"

GLOBAL WARMING WARNING IN THE 1920S!

  • I watching this because it's SO DAMN ROMANTIC. >_>;; *Spaz!* <3 It's like the Scarlet Pimpernel! I hope I can be this romantic someday to the girl that I lost to time, years ago. Successful, witty, charming... But first I gotta study Gatsby's style more first. *Takes notes*

  • *awwwwkwaaard* (diner)

  • "You always looks soo cool" is kinda a modern phrase.

  • @TheWayne8698673 when i read it in the book i thought so too. i was watching this old film from the 1920s and they used the word swagger..i was like wow..they were getting there swagg on all the way back then!!lol

  • 4:23 why is all the fish gathering around her hair??

  • They said you killed a man

    oh just one

    hummmm...

  • imagine some guy who dressed up like a C.I.A, F.B.I or O.S.S or what ever the fuck he is just randomlly shows up infront of your house with a cigarette and said "Want to ask some question about your neighor" just soo creepy

  • real man wears pink and looks good in it aka gatsby ♥

  • @faboul467 Baller/Ballin!!!

  • when gatsby sees daisys daughter, he sees the love between her and tom

  • @lavrilfan16 It;s also that he's confronted with a sort of reality.

  • be my lover.. stay my lover?!

what the hell.. awkwardest movies ever

  • @qwertyESquirt That line was added in the movie. Wasn't in the book.

  • ok she has a kid but it definitely isn't that important to her...its all the nanny...i mean the kid is only in two scenes...

  • Gatsby was like oh shit bitch's gotta kid!

  • be my lover?! is this film for real?!

  • (Gatsby discovering kid) "ERG!"

  • the old adage applies here: most times, reality just doesn't live up to the fantasy...both daisy and gatsby had built each other up so much in their minds that neither could ever have lived up to such high expectations. and, p.s., i've been around so many super wealthy ppl, and, they're so affected by their lifestyles..not in a good way, either. they're all just highly unstable ppl in nicer homes.

  • Gatsby always remnds me of james bond ^^ the first shot they showed him was totally Bond

  • i'd love 2 go 2 town on jordan ;) (chick in the blue)

  • Nick: They say you killed a man

    Gatsby: Just one

    Gatsby has so much Swag

  • Was Gatsby's house not also used in High Society?

  • gatsbys got soo much SWAG

  • They're both crazy and deluded. Their love survives on nothing but lost fragments of the past and Nick is right... You can't repeat the past.

  • Tom and Daisy's child is played by Patsy Kensit

  • @magnostic

I always thought it was Billy Barty in drag. Silly me!

  • tom is so alpha xD

  • Daisy is a ditsy little bitch who neglects her child.

I think Family Guy made a funny reference the other night- As the car taker leads her away she says: "Come on child you can rub some lotion on my elbows"

  • wasn't it summer when the story happened? why were they wearing sweaters and cardigans? no wonder why they were seating all the time...

  • @opipcardenas She says he has air conditioning I the first time she visits his house. I think, I could be wrong seems a little early for that though. Maybe its a fancy ice box idk and Idc :)

  • Who's all watching this for an English exam?

  • @sandmanXG Hopefully i pass xD

  • "Hey I'm from the New York Journal."

    -Nick is not amused-

  • Tom=Ron Burgandy

  • Why does tom have whisky if alcohol was illegal at the time of the movie?? 0.0

  • @speedzonefilms Actually you got it, the Great Gatsby was written intentionally during the Prohibition Era.

  • 6:37 Gatsby-WTF

  • Daisy and Tom are the worst parents ever.

  • @Sevyn1290 they are the worst parents ever

  • @afilthyyouth Possibly. It would be reflective of Zelda as well.

  • poor Gatsby~!!=(( seeing Daisy and Tom''s child

  • they had enough money to afford all those expensive things but no AC? lololol

  • @AZN0RiCeCaKe: Air conditioning wasn't invented until the '30s. Even then few homes had them--only some of the very rich. Large buildings started to get them in the '30s--like movie houses, which is one of the reasons going to the movies was so popular. Escape into fantasy while you escape the hot weather.

  • id b shocked 2 if i was gatsby, what with the whole kid...

  • daisy is so dang cocky

  • what is up with dazzle

  • I don't like this. I can more easily forgive Daisy if it's not explicitly stated that she makes promises to Gatsby. I don't like it.

  • The sun MUST be getting hotter every year, because the characters are sweating all the damn time!!!

  • @TheBarracuda57 There was no AC back then. Do you expect them not to perspire?

  • @TheBarracuda57 according to my english teacher always keep their coats on in the presence of women...

  • @TheBarracuda57 that makes no sense

  • that 1 dislike is tom.

  • Looks like a night out on the town with Gatsby and the crew

  • "I'll love you forever." we have gotten so far away from real love

  • jay gatsby is a rum chief.

  • oh gosh! Gatsby is like a hot version of Brad Pitt. Everyone thinks Brad Pitt is hot so if I think Gatsby is hotter then him, he must be hot!!

  • @TallieRaye NO! HE MAY NOT BE HOT!!!!! CANT BE!!!!!!(joke on the "must be" part. gramar fail!)

  • @Chutyretro i doubt that. its possible that the movie and the book just suck even though its regarded highly. please tell me what is to understand, what is WORTH understanding? these characters are so plastic they should be melting instead of sweating in that heat.

  • i know this is suppose to be a classic but frankly i don't care about any of these people or what ever their problems are. in fact they have no real problems other than being lightweight, superficial people.

  • @MisterBouncyBounce You're right. I think that one of the main points of the novel is the shallowness of these pampered rich people (specifically the Buchanans) and how, in their self-absorption, they wreak havoc on people who don't live in the same protective cocoon that they enjoy.

  • @MisterBouncyBounce my crazy ass teacher said there's more under the surface. like a satirical approach to the american dream.

  • Daisy is not batshit crazy - what you see is the effect of being spoiled.

  • ummm dead bird?

  • lol they always zoom in on their faces.

  • the most boring book and the most boring movie...i dont understand why it is known as a great piece of literature...

  • @jojogirl2008 Cause you're a retard? Lmao jk

  • @manjebuawhy no because people are different and have different tastes. Also, people do have the freedom to express their opinions.

  • @jojogirl2008 Well then there's your answer. Best of all it was to your own question! :]

  • any one wants to punch his/her teacher in the face

  • Is it just me or are they always sweaty?

  • 6:15 the awkward moment when Daisy starts raving to herself

  • @JaejoongieLove Which she does all the time.

  • Nao Mr Alexander

  • daisy's a whore.

  • 6:38 Gatsby was about to kill a child. He was definitely thinking it.

  • I bet the camera guy just found a random dead seagull and decided to film it...

  • @SagaciousSilence lol probably :)

  • 2:52 ................

  • WHY DID THE SEAGULL HAVE TO DIE? D,:

  • "Her voice is full of money" (L)

  • maybe hey wouldn't sweat so damn much if they actually wore appropriate warm wheather clothes instead of a suit and jacket...

  • haha mr alexanderr

  • Tom is a such an idiot jock

  • Yes, you can buy love.

  • 5:18-5:37 He probably got it from Wikipedia.

  • @yami002200 The book and the movie were made before Wikipedia you simpleton fuck, you really are retarded, unless you are making a joke which isn't funny anyway.

  • @nounever ...somebody needs a hug

  • @nounever love it

  • 4:23 Nice fish.

  • I love a man that can pull off a pink suit and make it look hot!

  • "They say you kill a man?"

    "Just one"

-> How brilliant is this? Just one answer and you know it.

  • Daisy =Tom, Jay= stupid, Nick = guilty. I am sorry but this story has no moral at all.

  • @aish31lilin lol yea its the 1920's

  • @aish31lilin That's kinda the point. The book wasn't much of a jump out. But if people were to actually read it, the story itself is interesting but pointless.

  • tom's face on 8:31

  • I wonder if any birds were harmed in the making of this movie? 2:52

  • Gatsby is a straight up HUSSLA!

  • Omg. Dead seagull.

  • @Sami7685 foreshadowing ;)

  • 7:20

  • is it just me or is Daisy batshit crazy?

  • yh i know "i cant wear it you wear it for me"

  • @jmstit3 Yes she is. She is what we would call in the UK a flittery gibbert, or a butterfly of life!

  • @jmstit3 ...I think she is more immature, and never had a chance to develop emotionally with someone. Now that she is, it's most likely a great breath of fresh air, so within the miserable adulterous marriage, I think she cares little about anything now. Though, it is a shame, and she is doing as Tom has now.

  • @jmstit3 ...she is like the authors wife and my ex...just plain not home

  • @jmstit3 Yes! That is just what I was thinking!

  • @jmstit3 - It's not just you. Daisy is so fucking batshit crazy.

  • @shahoney: No, she's flighty, and confused, torn, weak, and a slave of her sex.

  • @aarfeld - I agree with you. But she's also batshit crazy. See more of my comment about her gender role in society here /comment?lc=T_HCaU7PRwb6Z_XCz2AjPAGWCISPoHJfHqsgNpEDHOY

  • @shahoney: Yes, she is also emotionally and psychologically unhinged and can't cope with what's happening to her.

  • @jmstit3

She does come across as a bit ditzy & distracted at times....

  • most awkward movie ever.

  • @F3aRwVwM3

Ah, those innocent times. The days smoking was still healthy.
