Hi, I'm in the market for a reverb pedal. I have a 45410 as well. Just wanted to check how your mr springy is holding up or if you have moved onto anything else. Cheers.
Thank you very much for the demo! Great sounding reverb. It sounds to me like it can get very wet for lush ambient sounds, would this be correct? Like Wicked Games from Chris Isaac (of course delay would be needed as well)
Yea it can get really "wet" it doesn't have a very long decay time (or any way to control that) but I have found in "real world" applications (meaning gigs) that it works brilliantly! One of my all time favorite pedals.
So there are no springs in it? I did think it's quite small... and it doesn't do the crash thing... and on the website he seems to avoid mentioning the springs... but are you sure?
I watched the video because of the Victoria 45410 as i have the Fender Bassman reissue PCB board , but was very impressed with the reverb and does sound just like Fender twin type verb . Victoria does sound great and would like your opinion , Mr Cali on the advantages of the Victoria over the Fender reissues .
I like the Victoria because it's a dead on point to point remake of the classic '59 Bassman. ...and the tone is soooo sweet! I've tried the Fender reissue and it does sound good but this is in another league.
This is a really good demo of the springgy and even much better than the one on Mr. springgy website. I couldn't hear even the slightest hum of any sort coming from this effect. I just purchased a DrZ Maz 38 w/o reverb. An external reverb would place the finishing touch on my amp. Thanks mrcali68. Dude you just sold me on this one. Thx
I think so. FYI Another GREAT option is The Vanamps Sole Mate! It's a little big and because I tend to set the reverb pedal on top of my amp then the VA is a bad choice for me because the recommend against that. Otherwise the Vanamps unit is off the charts!
COOL demo man. . . thanx for posting. I'm seriously thinking of getting the new Orange 40th Anniversary OR50H & matching PPC412-LTD cab. It doesn't have Reverb, so I was wondering about a pedal and the Mr. Springy sounds like it would be a good match :)
I use DR 10's. What I forgot to mention is that I recently installed a set of Kinmans AVN Blues pickups and WOW what a difference! No noise at all and the tone is huge!
Very good demo ...
I've got one of them and love it but I found that danelectro real spring reverb pedal ,have you seen or tried one? The yellow bulky one...
Cheers

I Just ordered one of these. Apart from it sounding great, I bought it cause it ha one knob!
I hate too many knobs, gives me a headache!

Sounds good considering there are no actual springs in there. I still prefer the real deal, but this is good!

are you using it in front of the amp or effects loop. If not. How is it in the effects loop?
jazlisening 3 years ago
I'm sure it would great in an effects loop but I run mine in front of the amp as the very last effect in my chain.

I know but you gotta hear it in person. My crappy little camera mic does not do it justice.
mrcali68 3 years ago
hmm...definitely worth the investment?
I was wondering if JOhn mayer's two rock was spring...slow dancing had nice reverb.

If you had the choice and all the space in the world, Solemate or the springgy?
supern00b 3 years ago
I think I'd stick with the Mr Springy. I really like it.
mrcali68 3 years ago
No idea about the John Mayer question. My guess would be that it's a spring but I don;t know for sure. Those are awesome amps!
