There IS an even better recording of this gt aria by Jussi. Keep looking. He's unreal. Placido, Franco C ... Luciano kinda owns it now ... gtest combo of beauty, power, personality. Puccini wrote it with a particular tenor in mind ... does anyone know how that story goes? Was it Lauri Volpi?

Whoever disliked this...fuck your mother. Granted, this barely sounds like Jussi until the vibrato in the second movement is held.

it's Bjorling. Definitely him.
Tone is lower, but it's clear from his vibrato.
