  • so sad

  • Thanks to authors. Now I gong to stop refuel Shell.

  • I will boycott shell from now on - I really really wish more people knew about this - - I wish that the u.s. media reported things like this and gave it more attention than all of the stupid things they give so much air-time. Ken Saro Wiwa, you are a brave soul, a hero - - and your spirit lives on. BOYCOTT SHELL and spread the word about Saro Wiwa and the struggle for justice in Ogoni.

  • Anyone who harms a child for an oil company is a war criminal.

  • Why none tells us about this on medias?

  • If it can help I will not go to shell anymore

  • Everyone knows oil is filthy and dirty... But just how filthy and dirty it really has been, we will never know... A full investigation in this case will help us know more however.

The worlds dependence on oil is disgraceful in every single way possible.

  • In the meantime US and foreign citizens could boycott Shell products until this situation is addressed. I know that other multinational companies aren't any better, but its a start. At least CITGO is owned by Venezuala. Send a copy of this video to everyone you know. The fact is that capitalism is simply not a sustainable economic system for the majority of the people who live under it. It only works for those 10% off the families that control 90% of the world's wealth.

  • We must have justice.

  • This is an important trial in that a multi-national corporation will be held accountable for criminal behavior that the evidence proves. However this is America and the presumption of innocence until proven guilty is sacred here. Hopefully the trial will sort out whatever culpability Shell had if any in the brutal actions or war crimes committed by the Nigerian regime. As long as the West remains addicted to oil the vast wealth and power involved will continue to corrupt what it touches.

  • I read about this years ago and am glad it is getting some attention. They killed Saro Wiwa to try to stop the movement. The devastation of the land and water cannot be repaired. They took away their way of life. BOYCOTT SHELL

  • Capitalism crossing national borders is called imperialism -- Dutch Shell is now a multi-national corporation. The good people that put up this video are part of what we need to keep building: multi-national support for human needs over profit.

The type of people that were murdered in Nigeria are IN the govt in Venezuela and the wealth is being shared. Nigeria doesn't need more martyrs; it needs a movement that wins, like Venezuela. And Bolivia.

  • AFAIK, the Shell corporation is originated from The Netherlands, not America.

  • Yes, but multi-national corporations have HQs in multiple countries, where they can be charged and stand trial.

  • every day more reason to really hate america.

usa should be banned from our society,is there any part of this world left where us coorporations don't suck out resources from?they should be boycotted and sanctioned no matter how strong their goverment is.who is going to pay for their war and social crimes all over the globe?

  • So you like to disadvantage others to make yourself seem like you are better than others. Because many of the things you use everyday could not be made without the raw materials that come from Africa.

  • Facism at it's finest.

  • Rothschild are the main stock and power brokers of Royal Dutch Shell. Rumor has it that their the richest family on the globe with seats on trade and banking boards around the world, not to mention a rumored estimated net worth of 491 Trillion. Good luck with that law suit, they own the courts to.

  • not just shell but big oil in general. all the big oil companies have blood (human, animal, environmental) on their hands, one way or another.

  • this is terrible, ill get my gas elsewhere. boycott shell

  • So are telling the world that you do not belong in America? Because without Africa and South America europe will have nothing to live on because most things you use come from thos two places in the world. Copper boxide precious metals so much Africa is giving you everyday.

  • speechless

  • God bless peaceful martyrs such as Ken-Sara Wiwa... Never forget what they are doing on all of our behalf

  • As we sit here and register our outrage, how many of us are going to pull up to a Shell gas pump and not give a thought as to the hows and whys the gas got there in the first place?

Shell won't give a damn as long as the world keeps buying their products...

  • Do you believe Shell will ever be found guilty?

    NOT

    unfortunately

  • Shell is disgusting. This is the rational conclusion of putting profits before people.

  • unfortunately that's how our economic system was built.. profit above everything... sad bat true.. everything has a price now..

  • Exactly. It's called the privledging of differences.

  • I never knew about this cruelty until this video. Shell needs to be stopped.

  • that poem sucked

  • Dream on because many world wide should be squatting on European land because many of the materials they use to make everyday products electronics etc.... come from the blood and sweat of Africans.

  • Actually it does. The UN is basically favouring of determinism. Now stop feeling so paranoid and just recognise that Western industrial expansion has been the cause of considerable evil.

If the Dutch/English company of Shell has been taking nigeria's most valuable natural resource over to Europe, is it entirely unfair that some Nigerians want to come with it?

  • cool kill me

  • I will never buy a Shell oil product again, so help me God! Citgo is owned by Venezuela and is not evil.

  • Do a little research on Venezuela and I think you may quickly change your mind my friend.

  • agreed time for a massive boycott!

  • this video needs to be spread around the internet more

  • Boycott

  • Thankyou for bringing this to our attention. It certainly brought a new prespective on Shell...

  • What's the name of the website at the end? I can't understand the words before shell in the website name, and you don't put the text anywhere either...

  • Ah nevermind, very end.

  • This is why i have never given Shell any of my money, but thats not enougth, because other uninformed people still will.

  • You've given shell LOTS of your money. Everything you buy has a carbon footprint and that is sourced from all over the place. Even the gas you put in your car may be Shell crude from a different pump.

They have us, that's the reality of the oil company's.

  • We need to boycott ALL oil companies. We also need to rush our government with third party solutions. We really have ONE party in power ALWAYS. There's little difference between the two anymore.

  • Right... Boycott oil... How do you plan on doing that?

  • There's such thing as alternatives. Ride your bike more, etc.

  • Now what do you think went into making the bike, what do you think is on the chain of your bike etc. poor example.

  • we can certainly boycott , Shell...just go to the next station, n if we were to want it deeply enough we could boycott oil, it just doesnt hit most of us deeply enough yet, but trust me itz coming, Shitz a Blazin all around us , were still just 2 preoccupied with the shinny lights n foggy nights

  • Boycott

  • Everybody who uses a car must boycott this fucked up company, together we can bankrupt them, go people

  • Sick.

Boycott the bastards. Tell your friends and family.

  • im pumping at chevron from now on

  • Citgo gas is who you want to support. Chevron is no different then Shell.

  • Yeah right, 'cause supporting an authoritarian socialist dictator is so much better!

  • why would you pull my comment on this video. a valid social activist (Anti Apartheid movement) observation .The only way to push Shell out of the destruction of the Nigerian delta and murder of social activists . is to picket their petrol (gas ) stations around the world .Shell is controlled by evil sociopaths with the power of a super power ,small wonder they can turn you tube around into a banal sexual comment and moral trivia post board the struggle will continue with or without you

  • The scandal is that it's merely a civil case.

There should be a full criminal investigation of Shell to identify the individuals who colluded with the Nigerian junta. If probable cause is satisfied, such individuals should be charged with criminal homicide (by proxy).

If the owner of an American company hired a hit man to murder a U.S. citizen who spoke out against his company's products, it would be completely uncontroversial that the owner should face homicide charges.

  • This is just disgusting.. If this is even a quarter true I hope to see all the Shell CEO's burn in hell.

  • thelord ofshell I hope u burn in hell for caring more about oil prices then people just like u dying because of conspiracy

  • How can people responsible for this live with themselves? Is there such a thing as Karmic justice? I don't believe is a Hell, but I hope their choices based on Greed, without regard for others' pain... I hope they wake one day and feel the full force of the pain they have caused.

  • Holy crap. Remove the "s" and what do you have? That's funny.

  • F#@$ SHELL

  • Shell cocksuckers.

  • I couldn't care less about those people, I just hope this doesn't make my gas prices to go up...

  • Good troll.

  • no the sad thing is he is probably telling the truth. Unfortunate seeing as we're all humans on the same planet.

unless you're an alien...on another planet.....take me with you

  • I couldn't care less about corporate big wigs, I just hope I get a chance to kick and punch one repeatedly.

  • Ignorance is bliss.. I hope they make shell pay millions or billions of dollars to the poor people of nigeria.. Lets boycott Shell people its the 21 century this is ridiculous

  • Damn right. No more shell for me. The last two places I've lived including the one i currently reside had Shell's closest. F that. I guess I'm using Chevron now. Unless they too have performed egregious acts. Let me know because I'm running out of choices. 76 is the only one left after that.

  • Haha realBoyardee, all Big Oil is like this, not just shell... unfortunately, we don't have much of a choice. We'll just say "this is bad", but we're defo not gonna do anything about it... it's just the way society's been conditioned to functioned.

  • and the UN ?

  • I was on" the shell station picket line" with" British Anti Apartheid " in London many years ago.I was also a member of the AA shell share holder'sI action group would like to say that the pressure put on Shell by local action can be effective?put your own picket line in your town to protest these evil fascist's ! God bless Africa and remember Kens sacrifice

  • The tragedies committed by corporations must cease and the guilty must be held accountable. This is our world that we're leaving for our children, it's too precious to go to waste.

  • srussian I agree with you. The Nigerian army isn't the only one controlled by an oil company. Oil companies control the British and the USA's armies too. Iraq is about privatising the oil companies so that they can be bought up by the Western multinationals. Afganistan is about an oil pipeline. There are even huge private armies in Afganistan and Iraq. Corporations and their puppet governments kill for money.

  • These oil companies have played a huge part in bringing the US to its knees. The Bush Cheney regime started this horrific war which injured and killed so many and ruined our economy. We have got to stop our dependence on oil.

  • put a link to the site in your description

  • More brown people suffering at the hands of the dutch, read your Twain on "King Leopold's Soliloquy"

  • Uh, King Leopold was Belgian. BTW, the Belgian expereince in the Congo is sometimes used as an illustration that Imperialism doesn't pay. In spite of (er) "harsh measures", the Belgians never made more than about 3% on their Congo investment.

  • since when does ANY corporation care about humanity over profits? that's why they go over-

seas, where they can pollute and disturb those without voices

  • hmmmm .... i wonder why this video won't load.... hmmmm......
