If both of these cars where at a standstill i would put money on the cobra. More torque and HP is good but not good if you have a heavy car
@80v8camaro depends on factory options and what engine the comaro has. A 69 comaro can weigh between 3200-3600. Im not just making these numbers up you can look it up. But my whole point in saying that is the fact that there is a power to weight ratio category for a reason. Perfect example is 2011 Mustang 5.0 VS. Challenger SRT8 6.4 Vs. Comaro SS 6.2. Who wins with the least amount of horsepower and torque? The mustang does.

The ZL1 in my honest opinion was a very disappointing option. Why, here's something to think about. The original ZL1 Camaro ( 1969 correct me if I'm wrong) was powered by an ALL aluminum 427 cubic inch v8 with 3x2 setup. Now in-terms of modern engines, the Corvette's All alluminum LS7 is 427 cubic inch engine. But instead of using the LS-7 rather than being nostalgic and completely rational they decided to use a De-tuned ZR1 engine and label it as ZL1. But oh-well.

@80v8camaro depends on factory options and what engine the comaro has. A 69 comaro can weigh between 3200-3600. Im not just making these numbers up you can look it up. But my whole point in saying that is the fact that there is a power to weight ratio category for a reason. Perfect example is 2011 Mustang 5.0 VS. Challenger SRT8 6.4 Vs. Comaro SS 6.2. Who wins with the least amount of horsepower and torque? The mustang does.

@80v8camaro Why? Because it pushes close to the name numbers as these cars but weighs about 600 lbs less. Its funny cause you can watch youtube videos of these cars racing stock vs. stock. When the the chevy or comaro loses peole somehow always equate it to a bad driver. I would say driver car ration is 80% car 20% driver

The ZL1 in my honest opinion was a very disappointing option. Why, here's something to think about. The original ZL1 Camaro ( 1969 correct me if I'm wrong) was powered by an ALL aluminum 427 cubic inch v8 with 3x2 setup. Now in-terms of modern engines, the Corvette's All alluminum LS7 is 427 cubic inch engine. But instead of using the LS-7 rather than being nostalgic and completely rational they decided to use a De-tuned ZR1 engine and label it as ZL1. But oh-well.

@FANADICALCOWHEAD its typical GM idiocy idk who knows why sounded like a good ideah i suppose....the 427 is a lighter weight motor and GM has tons of options on cyclinder head pistons cams u name it custom crap they could have used to make a 550-600 hp car easy out of the LS7 we already know they can push over 1200hp so who knows what they hit before thay came up with the ZL1

Also, I'm a fan of great cars, no matter what badge they carry. It boggles my mind how many people actually think that a car with their favorite name is always somehow better than a car made by another company. These videos are car+driver versus car+driver. Not brand versus brand or model versus model.

Idk something didn't seem right there. The mustang started out at like 5k rpms when it can only rev up to 6k lol. should have just started in another gear because the amount of time it took him to shift wasnt worth the added power and torque of staying in 1st gear. love both cars though and id take either one over a damn honda but id still personally rather have the cobra

@elripper1317 I've had 3 mustangs. raced a shit load of slowmaros and beat them more than half the time. SO I wouldnt say that. Besides the 2011 GT is faster than your SS. So once again, I wouldnt say that.

@RestrictedSprinter17 Motortrend tested the 2011 SS at 13.1 and 2011 GT at 12.7. GT braked quicker, pulled harder lateral g's and a quicker figure 8. Not trying to be a fan boy, but everyone that has tested the '11s has hands down said the Mustang is better. I'm interested in where you got your facts, care to share?
