we are tied by the geneva convention but do you really think this would hold out in an all out world war.i don't think so.the reductions are in missiles,not the warheads which could easily be recommissioned.even if russia and china decided to join in which is highly unlikely they wouldn't be fighting just the US.you comment about current technology but you only see what they want to show you.they don't just have the nuclear option.

oh get real.even in the very unlikely event that iran could ambush the us fleet which is very unlikely given the current US technology,the us and their EU allies would respond to that with such force as to ahniallate and indeed level iran if not the entire persian gulf.

Pray that US sailors who are unlucky enough to be on duty in the Persian Gulf when the shooting starts can escape the fate of the Roman army at Cannae. The odds against them, because they will face the same type of danger, tantamount to envelopment. Ships in the Gulf will already have come within range of the Sunburn missiles and the even more-advanced SS-NX-26 Yakhonts missiles Russian-made (speed: Mach2.9; range: 180 miles) deployed by the Iranians along the Gulf's northern shore.
