@overunitydotcom Couldn't agree more with the open source sentiments.

The only real and certain way to both massive financial rewards, and to put it bluntly, personal physical safety (as has been mentioned, many inventors seem to either suddenly fall foul of the law, or meet an untimely death) and also there's the assuredness that your discovery is going to be instrumental, pivotal in fact, in saving millions of lives around the planet, through prevention of wars, starvation, water..and so on.
