  • thank u 4 posting this. i was lost at the thought of picking up stitches. your explanation was SO clear. I can do it now! thanks!

  • You really explained it well. Thank you for doing this video.

  • I'm late deafened and I really want to thank you for captioning this video. Being able to read what you're saying really helped me tremendously.

  • @Eileen10019 You're welcome! It's a lot of work to transcribe each of my videos by hand, but I'm happy to do it. :)

  • @verypinkknits That's definitely helping since my English isn't perfect. =)

  • @verypinkknits I can imagine the work involved and it's really very kind of you. Not many people think about it and it's just so appreciated that you did.

  • i am making a blanket, it has become wider than it is longer, the pattern asks me to pick up and knit 270 on the SIDE edge, but this is the shorter edge! when i see if i can do it better on the TOP edge as it is at least 10 inches longer! i has 216 stitches that i need to get 270 out of! :o/ im completely lost and have no idea what to do, this video is so helpful but my pattern does not help what i need to do next argh im going crazy! lol

  • Thank you. I can now finish the pockets on my sweater. :D

  • Could you please explain this to me "pick up and k14 sts along left edge of square 1, then cast on 16 sts – 31 sts." I don't understand this. I'm new at this and i really want to knit a blanket.

  • Super helpful! Thank you! :D

  • Very helpful thanks. Love the way you laugh when you made a little error.

  • Thank you so much. xxx

  • You're very charismatic ;)

  • Thank you

  • Thank you for your help - so much easier than having to wait a week until my class.

  • thank you soo much for this video ^_^ 3mo old newbie tackling her first blouse.

  • So, if I cast on 44 stitches and knitted for 30 rows and then it asks me to knit and pick up 14 stitches (which is the now the side), I'm going to pick up a stitch every other row? I'm a beginner knitter and am a little stumped :(

    I appreciate your help.

  • @latindansa Yes, almost. :) Picking up every other stitch will get you to 28 rows, so you'll need to fudge it a little and pick up one more stitch than every other row will get you. It will all look fine in the end.

  • Thank you for very easy to understand instructions. I needed to pick up and knit the edges of a sweater and now I know how!!

  • Awesome tutorial! Thank you SO much! I have looked and looked and this is the clearest tutorial I've found! I'm attempting fingerless gloves for the first time and the thumb scares the living daylights out of me! I feel a little more confident now. Thanks!
